Homeschooling Ahead

Texas Public School Horror Story Inspires Homeschooling

A Texas Mom was so “horrified” by what her child’s kindergarten teacher said that she is planning on home-schooling her daughter after Christmas break. And it should chill other parents to the core — Common Core, that is.

Cassidy Vines recently began noticing a change in her daughter’s behavior. The kindergartner began to “snap” at her mother when she tried correcting the little girl’s homework. “She told me that I was her mommy, not her teacher.”

Mrs. Vines, in a stunning interview on Glenn Beck’s radio program, said that a few days after her daughter first snapped at her, she started pronouncing a word incorrectly. Vines corrected her daughter “in the most gentle way possible,” but her daughter broke down crying, saying “that’s how she was taught, and I can’t tell her something different because I’m a mommy, not a teacher.”

Horrified, she asked her daughter, “Is somebody telling you this at school?” “She said, ‘Yes, I’m only allowed to learn from my teacher,’” Vines remarked.

As recounted on TheBlaze, Vines requested to meet with the teacher several times, but said she never got a response. So she went to her routine parent-teacher conference “armed with a slew of questions,” hoping her daughter had misunderstood what was being said at school.

Vines said she explained what was happening, and kept waiting for the teacher to deny it, but it never happened.

“[The teacher] goes on to tell me that they try to discourage parents from introducing contradictory concepts to ‘our’ children,” Vines said. “Our children. As in the school’s children? I was a little baffled. And so when I started talking about my daughter, I emphasized my daughter. So I asked her, ‘Am I not allowed to help her with her homework?’”

Vines was shocked when the teacher responded that no, they “don’t want parents confusing the kids.”

It got worse. Much worse: Vines wrote on Glenn Beck’s Facebook wall about the incident, sharing how, in the same parent-teacher conference, the teacher said in front of several parents that the pilgrims were “essentially America’s first terrorists.”

Kroger allows Guns

GUNS & GROCERIES: Grocery Store Defies Anti-Gun Goons, Welcomes Open-Carry Customers
If you live in Texas and support open carry, you might want to start shopping at this grocery store instead.
While other major grocery chains in Texas are opposing the open carry law set to go into effect on January 1, Ohio-based Kroger has no intention to bar its customers from bringing guns into their stores.

Grocers like H-E-B, Whole Foods, Sprouts and Randall’s now display appropriate signage informing customers that they “may not enter this property with a handgun that is carried openly.”

Kroger, which has several stores in Dallas and Houston, however will not impose additional rules on gun owners.
Rather than capitulating to the pressure, the 2,400-plus store grocery chain has instead stated their commitment to trust their customers will do the right thing.

“The safety of our customers and associates is one of our most important company values. Millions of customers are present in our busy grocery stores every day and we don’t want to put our associates in a position of having to confront a customer who is legally carrying a gun. That is why our long-standing policy on this issue is to follow state and local laws and to ask customers to be respectful of others while shopping. We know that our customers are passionate on both sides of this issue and we trust them to be responsible in our stores.”

Sweden’s Refugee Meltdown

Is Sweden on the Brink of Anarchy from Refugee Influx? 12/30/15, by Alice Greene

Many of us imagine Sweden as a peaceful welfare state populated by beautiful blonde women and men. All of that has changed with the acceptance of over 60,000 Syrian refugees that has incited a surge in firearms and security systems purchases as well as the formation of vigilante groups.

“For the first time, I feel scared to live here,” says Alexandra von Schwerin. Alexandra and her husband have been robbed three times and have lost a van, a quad bike, and a car. When they spoke with police, the von Schwerins were informed that the cops were too busy to help: “All our resources are on loan to the asylum reception center in Trelleborg and Malmö. We are overloaded right now. So I suggest you get in touch with the vigilante group in Eslöv.”

You know things are bad when police recommend you turn to vigilantes for help. The group in question turned out to be a band of business owners who decided to take matters into their own hands after repeated robberies in 2013. “On principal, I am totally against it,” said Alexandra. “What are the people who cannot afford private security to do? They will be unprotected. I’m sure I will join, but very, very reluctantly.”  In regards to private security, business is booming.

According to a security company salesman, people have lost confidence in Sweden’s government and police forces. “The police will not come anymore,” he said during an interview with Gatestone. “Truck drivers say that when they see a thief emptying the fuel tank of their trucks, they run out with a baseball bat. It’s no use calling the police…”

Each time the Immigration Service sets up a housing facility, security sales ramp up. “The next day, half the village calls and wants to buy alarm systems,” said another salesman. “You have to understand that Swedes are really scared when an asylum house opens in their village. They can see what has happened in other places.”

According to Gatestone, there are reports almost every day of people setting fire to asylum houses (most allegedly caused by the anti-immigration Sweden Democrats Party AKA Sverigedemokraterna). And violence at Immigration Service facilities is at an all-time high with brawls and threats occurring daily.

The desire for personal protection has also resulted in a rush to buy firearms. To obtain a gun permit in Sweden, one must be a well-behaved, law-abiding citizen of 18 years or more. You must also be a member of a shooting club or have a hunting license. In 2014, Sweden gave out 11,000 hunting licenses (that’s a 10% increase from the previous year).

Meanwhile, the country expects the arrival of 190,000 unemployed, unskilled migrants this year – that’s equal to 2% of Sweden’s population. To compare, consider what would happen if 6.4 million non-English speaking migrants arriving in the United States in a single year.

Swedish commentators predict a grim future of anarchy and collapse. Even the country’s Foreign Minister, Margot Wallström, has lost hope. “Most people seem to think we cannot maintain a system where perhaps 190,000 people will arrive every year. In the long run, our system will collapse. This welcome is not going to receive popular support. We want to give people who come here a worthy reception,” she said during an interview with Dagens Nyheter.

TPP is Suicidal

Are We Now Buying the Rope On Which We Will Hang? By Kevin D. Freeman, 12/29/15,

There’s an infamous quote attributed to Vladimir Lenin (and also to Joseph Stalin): “The Capitalists will sell us the rope with which we will hang them.”
The idea was that America was so corrupted and so greedy that we would eventually disregard our own national security in pursuit of a short-term profit. Ironically, it turned out that the Soviet system died under the weight of its own corruption. Communists, at least in practice rather than theory, tend to be just as greedy (if not more so) than capitalists. The Soviet Union is gone and America remains.
What Lenin may have missed is that America’s sin of greed is perhaps overshadowed by our gluttony. Yes, greed was at work in the last downturn but so was over-consumption. As a nation, we are at least as guilty in our buying habits as we are in our selling. One example is that the nation has about $19 trillion in Federal government debt, not to mention unfunded liabilities valued in the $100s of trillions, or private debt which is much greater than GDP already. From one view, this enormous quantity of debt could be the rope with which we hang. We buy goods and services from China and they claim the debt we incur to them is a weapon they can use against us. But that is just one example.
Another example is that we, until the shale boom, massively favored foreign oil over domestic production. Over the years, we sent trillions of dollars overseas to regimes that promoted hostility against America. As former Director of Central Intelligence once said, “we are funding both sides of the war on terror” with oil imports.

The problem is that we have lost any real sense of national security. We ignore borders as if they were irrelevant. We are so globalized that we rarely consider national security issues when we make economic decisions. Yet this is precisely where the next war will be waged.
The TPP (Trans Pacific Partnership) agreement may be a prime example. Reports suggest that for the first time in decades, the clause that America retains the right to assert national security interests has been left out. I have not read the agreement and am solely reliant on press reports. If this is true, however, it is astonishing and extraordinarily threatening as explained by political consultant Charles Ellis in a December 21 Breitbart article by Alex Swoyer:
“The text of the Obama administration’s Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade deal between the United States and 11 other countries reverses policies that were originally put into place to prevent a foreign takeover of the nation’s infrastructure, argues political consultant Curtis Ellis, who adds that the deal threatens U.S. national security interests.
Ellis explained:
Previous U.S. trade pacts stated in no uncertain terms that the national security interests of the United States are determined solely by the U.S. government and supersede any provisions of the pacts. The U.S. government had unfettered power to protect our national security interests as it deemed necessary – even if its actions might violate the terms of a trade agreement.
But the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement reverses this precedent. As a result, other countries could claim our national security interests violate the T.P.P. agreement and force the U.S. to pay billions of dollars in damages.
Ellis says that Chapter 11 in the more than 5,000-page trade deal provides foreign investors with special rights to acquire U.S. land, businesses, natural resources and investments.
‘Under Chapter 28 and Chapter 29, these foreign investors could do an end-run around U.S. courts and sue the U.S. before an international panel, known as an investor-state dispute tribunal, if they feel American law violates their ‘rights’ under the TPP,’ Ellis argues.
Currently, the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) reviews pending foreign investments in the U.S. to determine if they pose a threat to national security and can recommend the president shut down investments deemed a threat. Under previous trade agreements, foreign investors would have no recourse.
But under the T.P.P., the Sultan of Brunei, the billionaire autocrat who rules his T.P.P. country under Sharia law, could sue for billions of dollars if CFIUS denied his bid to buy a company providing security to U.S. ports and airports.
He would bring his case before a foreign tribunal that could force taxpayers to award him compensation for “lost profits.” The tribunal, staffed by three unelected lawyers hailing from anywhere in the world, would have the power to second-guess the U.S. government on what constitutes a threat to our national security.
Additionally, the Islamic Sultanate of Brunei — a country that’s a party to President Obama’s trade agenda — has outlawed Christmas and threatens to place offenders in prison.”
In other words, it appears that national security and our nation’s sovereignty have been ignored entirely by a lengthy document that appears to favor foreign interests over our own. This is appalling and a serious departure from modern precedent. The claim is that other nations such as Australia, Canada, Mexico, and New Zealand all included national security provisions even as we did not. If true, this is a blatant disregard for American sovereignty.
Another frightening example can be seen in how we have outsourced a good deal of coding and cyber security to firms tied to the Russian regime.
Really? Can it be true that the Pentagon (inadvertently) outsourced critical coding to Russian firms? Sadly, the answer is that this happened (despite being against the law and the two firms involved in the work had to pay multi-million dollar fines when caught).
From The Daily Beast on November 4:
By Patrick Malone, Center for Public Integrity — November 4, 2015
The Pentagon was tipped off in 2011 by a longtime Army contractor that Russian computer programmers were helping to write computer software for sensitive U.S. military communications systems, setting in motion a four-year federal investigation that ended this week with a multimillion-dollar fine against two firms involved in the work.
Greed drove the contractor to employ the Russian programmers, he said in his March 2011 complaint, which was sealed until late last week. He said they worked for one-third the rate that American programmers with the requisite security clearances could command. His accusations were denied by the firms that did the programming work.
“On at least one occasion, numerous viruses were loaded onto the DISA [Defense Information Systems Agency] network as a result of code written by the Russian programmers and installed on servers in the DISA secure system,” Kingsley said in his complaint, filed under the federal False Claims Act in U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., on March 18, 2011.

Unfortunately, this is not isolated. We also know that a good deal of American cybersecurity in the private sector has been hired out to a Russian company with close ties to the Russian government.
From Bloomberg earlier this year:
March 19, 2015
Kaspersky Lab has published reports on alleged electronic espionage by the U.S., Israel, and the U.K.—but hasn’t looked as aggressively at Russia.
Kaspersky Lab sells security software, including antivirus programs recommended by big-box stores and other U.S. PC retailers. The Moscow-based company ranks sixth in revenue among security-software makers, taking in $667 million in 2013, and is a favorite among Best Buy’s Geek Squad technicians and reviewers on Amazon.com. Founder and Chief Executive Officer Eugene Kaspersky was educated at a KGB-sponsored cryptography institute, then worked for Russian military intelligence, and in 2007, one of the company’s Japanese ad campaigns used the slogan “A Specialist in Cryptography from KGB.” The sales tactic, a local partner’s idea, was “quickly removed by headquarters,” according to Kaspersky Lab, as the company recruited senior managers in the U.S. and Europe to expand its business and readied an initial public offering with a U.S. investment firm.
In 2012, however, Kaspersky Lab abruptly changed course. Since then, high-level managers have left or been fired, their jobs often filled by people with closer ties to Russia’s military or intelligence services. Some of these people actively aid criminal investigations by the FSB, the KGB’s successor, using data from some of the 400 million customers who rely on Kaspersky Lab’s software, say six current and former employees who declined to discuss the matter publicly because they feared reprisals. This closeness starts at the top: Unless Kaspersky is traveling, he rarely misses a weekly banya (sauna) night with a group of about 5 to 10 that usually includes Russian intelligence officials….

There are other examples of Russian Cyber Security firms that are potential national security threats. One was reported by Bill Gertz on December 16:
By Bill Gertz – – Wednesday, December 16, 2015
U.S. intelligence agencies recently identified a Russian cybersecurity firm, which has expertise in testing the network vulnerabilities of the electrical grid, financial markets and other critical infrastructure, as having close ties to Moscow’s Federal Security Service, the civilian intelligence service.
The relationship between the company and the FSB, as the spy agency is known, has heightened fears among U.S. cyberintelligence officials that Moscow is stepping up covert efforts to infiltrate computer networks that control critical U.S. infrastructure such as oil and gas pipelines and transportation.
The effort appears to be part of FSB and Russian military cyberwarfare reconnaissance targeting, something the Pentagon calls preparation of the battlefield for future cyberattacks. The Russian company is taking steps to open a U.S. branch office as part of the intelligence-gathering, said officials familiar with reports of the effort who spoke on background.
Officials familiar with reports about the company did not identify it by name. However, security officials are quietly alerting government security officials and industry cybersecurity chiefs about the Russian firm and its covert plans for operations in the United States.
[To CONTINUE READING at The Washington Times…]
Is there any wonder that Russian hackers have been so successful in penetrating control systems?
The industrial control systems (ICS) that run the United States’ critical infrastructure have been targeted by Russian threat actors, according to Director of National Intelligence James Clapper.
In a statement made last week on worldwide cyber threats before the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, Clapper warned of the increasing threat to national and economic security, and the expansion of attack methods, targeted systems and victims.
“Politically motivated cyber attacks are now a growing reality, and foreign actors are reconnoitering and developing access to US critical infrastructure systems, which might be quickly exploited for disruption if an adversary’s intent became hostile. In addition, those conducting cyber espionage are targeting US government, military, and commercial networks on a daily basis,” the US intel chief said.
Russian hackers have also targeted our financial system with recent exposures at Dow Jones (owner of The Wall Street Journal), Morgan Stanley, and possibly JP Morgan (via hackers for hire). In addition, there is a Russian connection to compromising institutions such as Deutsche Bank. It was less than a year ago that an alleged Russian spy was caught and accused of attempting to learn methods for destabilizing our financial markets. And recently, Vladimir Putin explained how critical a nation’s financial system is to its sovereignty:
It only makes sense that you would target a potential adversary’s financial system in the event of a conflict. We must be aware that Russia also has shown interest in the transatlantic cables that carry Internet traffic as well as the satellites. The nation that controls these, or at least is able to cut them off, could inflict serious economic damage. But that’s ok, right? We can always replace downed satellites. Unfortunately, we outsourced this to Russia as well. From The Wall Street Journal (May 14, 2014):
After a series of launch failures in the 1990s cost the Air Force six satellites, the military began searching for a reliable, cheap alternative to its existing rocket engines. The Clinton administration at the time was pushing to strengthen ties with Moscow, and the U.S. opted to use Russian-made engines that were then considered sophisticated and reliable space technology.
But the policy of partnering with Russia in space has turned from a foreign-policy success to a source of friction, as relations between Moscow and Washington have soured over the annexation of Crimea and the ongoing crisis in Ukraine.
This week, Russian officials said they would cut off U.S. access to its engines and would seek to prevent the Air Force from using them to launch national security satellites.
The U.S. relies on Russian engines not only to launch spy satellites, but also to transport astronauts to and from the International Space Station.
The Russians (as well as the Chinese and Iranians) understand modern warfare and have been covering their bases in case we become adversarial. We can know their playbook by watching actions in Ukraine. The upsetting thing is that despite this knowledge, we continue to ignore the national security implications and outsource critical capabilities to potential adversaries. Previously, we were warned that we might greedily sell the rope on which we would hang. Now, however, it seems we may be the buyers of that rope instead, even if the end result is the same. It is time we wake up and make American national security and sovereignty a priority.

Trump Man of the Year

Man of the Year: Donald Trump, 'He is positioned to win the GOP nomination and the White House despite all odds', 12/29/15, WND

They treated his campaign announcement as a joke. They tried to destroy his business. They called him every foul name they could come up with. But at the end of 2015, the biased journalists, political consultants, leftist activists, snarky comedians and embittered critics of every stripe had to concede one man had beaten them all.

Donald J. Trump is the Republican favorite for president of the United States. There’s no indication he’ll fall from the top spot any time soon. And he’s the WND 2015 Man of the Year.

“It is my great honor to be named Man of the Year by your publication,” Trump said in a statement to WND. “I very much appreciate your informative polls and coverage. Together, we will Make America Great Again.”

It’s been an incredible journey for Trump. Many supposed political experts and commentators laughed at him when, after years of hints, he finally announced he was running for president.

The Democratic National Committee snarked about Trump’s “seriousness,” treating him as a phony candidate. Leftist comedian Jon Stewart called Trump “a gift from heaven.” Politico called him “God’s gift to the Internet” and contrasted him with the “more serious candidates.”

Yet it’s Donald Trump who’s had the last laugh. And Trump has not only proven he is in the race to win, he’s shown himself to be a skilled tactician and expert communicator, outwitting hostile reporters and political opponents at every turn and surviving media firestorms that would have destroyed any other candidate.

At the start, Trump was savagely attacked by leftist activist groups and journalists after referring to some illegal immigrants as “rapists” during his presidential announcement speech.

A couple of Trump’s business partners, notably NBC and Macy’s, cut ties with the candidate. It appeared Trump’s campaign was over before it even began.

But while most other politicians would have apologized, Trump responded with what has become his characteristic tactic – doubling down. Trump reframed the debate on immigration to focus on crimes committed by illegals. The arrest of a previously deported illegal immigrant for the murder of Kate Steinle in the sanctuary city of San Francisco gave Trump’s charges new weight.

Even Macy’s appeared on the defensive, as Trump’s supporters began shredding their credit cards. And suddenly, to the shock of the political class, Trump was riding high in the polls and addressing mass rallies alongside GOP heavyweights like Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions.

Commentators acknowledged the “Summer of Trump,” but that was not yet enough. Experts continued to predict his collapse in the fall. And Trump began feuding with a host of figures, including Fox News’ Megyn Kelly, South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.
Yet Trump showed an unmatched ability to cut down his opponents with a single remark, famously dismantling Jeb as “low energy” in a GOP debate and triggering the onetime GOP favorite’s collapse.

The angrier Trump’s opponents became, the higher Trump soared in the polls. Even as Trump savaged most reporters as “scum,” they couldn’t turn away. Throughout the campaign, Trump’s speeches and massive rallies have been often covered live on the cable news networks. And while other candidates struggle for airtime, Trump is driving the debate on both the left and right.

“Has any personality ever dominated the news more than Donald Trump did in 2015?” asked WND Editor and CEO Joseph Farah. “I don’t think I’ve seen it in my lifetime. That’s why there can be no question about who 2015′s Man of the Year is – at least not if we’re being honest. He didn’t just change the debate, he became the debate. And there doesn’t seem to be any let-up in sight as we move into the presidential election year of 2016.”

As Farah observed, Trump has done what almost no other conservative has ever been able to accomplish by repeatedly forcing the mainstream media to back down. As he repeatedly brags, Trump turned immigration into a central issue in the Republican primary. Trump shifted the national conversation on terrorism by calling for a ban on Muslim immigration. He even changed the accepted history of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks by forcing the media to report Muslim celebrations in the United States that day.

But Trump has been regarded as a mortal threat by many Republican donors, some of whom have reportedly stated they would rather back Hillary Clinton. Even some conservatives have questioned Trump’s commitment to limited government principles.

Glenn Beck called him a “progressive” and said Trump’s supporters were “racists.” Columnist George Will argued a Trump nomination would destroy the Republicans as a conservative party. And Trump is a frequent target on Fox News by commentators like Charles Krauthammer, who has called him a “rodeo clown.”

But as Trump maintains his lead in the polls, he’s also starting to draw more conservative support. Diana West, a WND columnist, forcefully argued,  “It’s time to rally around Donald Trump.” Former Rep. Virgil Goode, R-Va., has endorsed Trump. And legendary conservative activist Phyllis Schlafly even called Donald Trump the “last hope for America” and the only one “eager to fight.”

While most elected Republican officials and even most figures in the established conservative movement are shying away from Trump, Trump’s populist approach is still keeping him at the top of the polls. And the media’s scorn for Trump’s supporters may be leading some of his backers to keep their decision to vote for him a secret, meaning the polls may actually be understating his backing.

WND Senior Staff Writer and longtime political observer Jerome Corsi says Trump is the “real deal.” He told WND: “Despite how much the Obama/Clinton leftists in the Democratic Party and the D.C. establishment leadership of the GOP hate Trump, he is not going away, he is not going to drop out, and he is positioned to win the GOP nomination and the White House despite all odds.”

Corsi believes Donald Trump is “one of those rare people who appear in U.S. history as the right guy for the times.” “If these were the days of the American Revolution,” Corsi said, “Trump would be leading the Boston Tea Party and joining Sam Adams and Thomas Paine in carving the political room for a rebirth of the type of constitutional freedom our Founding Fathers had envisioned for the American Republic.”

Today’s challenge, Corsi stated, is political correctness. And Donald Trump is just the man to destroy it. “Trump will succeed precisely because he is politically incorrect, because he dares to say what most Americans are thinking,” Corsi argued. “Calling Trump sexist, racist, and every phobe the leftist intolerant political ideologies can generate only boosts his popularity, as the mainstream media lose their power to control the news by calling their enemies a nasty name. He’s rising in the polls because he defies the politically correct rules ordained by pundits and exposes leftists – including those at Fox News – for what they are.”

Corsi, author of “What Went Wrong: Inside the GOP Debacle of 2012 and How It Can Be Avoided Next Time,” also says pundits are underestimating Trump’s chances to win both the primary and the general election.

“Trump will attract votes from women, Hispanics, and African-Americans,” Corsi predicted. “He has done more to improve the economic status of minorities in America than all the other candidates combined – in both the GOP and among the Democrats.”

Indeed, a new poll shows a significant number of minorities are lining up behind Trump, including 40 percent of blacks and 45 percent of Hispanics. And once again, Trump is dominating the media coverage, turning the Democratic Party’s “war on women” talking point on its head by starting a national debate about former President Bill Clinton’s treatment of women.

Recent polls show not only is Trump maintaining his national lead among Republicans, but he remains tied in a hypothetical head to head match-up with Hillary Clinton.

Yet Trump’s biggest challenges lie ahead. Though candidates such as Jeb Bush and Ben Carson have faded for now, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz is consolidating the support of evangelical organizations and is in second place in many national polls. According to some reports, Trump is actually trailing Cruz in the critical state of Iowa, though Trump is promising to unleash an ad blitz. Ironically, it’s because Trump has so dramatically shifted the Overton Window of what is considered politically acceptable that Cruz has moved from being a pariah in the Republican Party to what some people are calling the GOP establishment’s last, best hope to keep a complete outsider from seizing the nomination.

Still, Trump remains the undisputed frontrunner and is arguably stronger than ever. He’s defied predictions of doom so many times even the doubters have learned to be cautious.

However the primaries shake out, Trump has already won in many ways. He’s refocused the election on issues like immigration, which GOP donors and insiders would rather ignore. He’s challenged the Republican consensus on questions from trade policy to relations with Russia. He’s provided a template for the GOP to win over the working-class voters unenthused by the usual Republican appeals for tax cuts for the wealthy or slashing Medicare. And he’s struck a powerful chord with Americans who are tired of being pushed around by what they see as a hostile media and taken for granted by what they regard as do-nothing Republican leaders.

Donald Trump is the Man of the Year because he’s already changed the primaries, the Republican Party and the country itself. And no matter what happens now, there’s no going back.

Trump Leads

Minorities line up behind ... Donald Trump, New poll shows billionaire solidifying support, by Bob Unruh, 12/28/15, WND Editor’s Note: This is another in a series of reports on the polling by Clout Research, a national opinion research firm in Columbus, Ohio, for WND.com.
Pundits might point to billionaire Donald Trump’s huge lead in the GOP presidential primary race as being the result of his generally anti-Washington, anti-government, anti-establishment, anti-politically correct attitude. If so, it’s not just whites who are ticked at the bureaucracy, but minorities too.
Because a new poll, which still has Trump leading the race, shows 40 percent of blacks are lining up behind Trump, as are 45 percent of Hispanics, and even nearly 19 percent of Asians. Blacks and Hispanics, in fact, even support Trump at a higher level than whites.

The results are from a new WND/Clout poll by Clout Research, a national opinion research firm in Columbus, Ohio. The telephone survey of registered voters was taken Dec. 18-27, except for the holiday, and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.35 percentage points.
Only Dr. Ben Carson pulled more support from the black community than Trump, at 50 percent, and no one had more support from Hispanics than Trump. Among Asians, 37.5 percent supported Sen. Marco Rubio, with Sen. Ted Cruz matching Trump’s 18.8 percent.
Among whites, Trump was far and away the leader, with 37.7 percent of the respondents. Cruz was second at 25.1 percent.
The rankings put Trump in the No. 1 slot, Cruz second at 23.3 percent, Rubio third at 10.1, Carson fourth at 9.4 percent, and Jeb Bush fifth at six percent.
Explained Fritz Wenzel, chief of Clout Polling, “The Republican presidential primary preference nationally remains unchanged through the Christmas holiday and heading into the New Year, as Donald Trump continues to lead by double digits.
“The newish development of Sen. Ted Cruz rising and now solidifying his top-tier stature is likely going to remain for the coming weeks before the Iowa caucuses and the New Hampshire primary. But the rise of Cruz signals nothing new in this race, as voters continue to voice their complete dissatisfaction with the GOP establishment. Cruz merely supplanted Carson as a more conservative outsider alternative to Trump.”
He said a key will be whether Republicans, whose divisions have been opened by Trump’s brash criticism of the establishment and refusal to go along, can come together.
“There really is just one more act to come and question to be answered before the nomination is sealed: ‘Will the establishment coalesce behind one moderate candidate and mount a serious challenge, or will they remain divided and be conquered?’” Wenzel said.
“For this challenge to develop, three of four candidates – Bush, Rubio, Kasich and Christie – would have to step aside, and given the stakes involved, it is hard to imagine that happening in time to make a difference. The clock has now become a serious factor in this race.”
He said moderates like Trump, with a sizable chunk also favoring Marco Rubio, while conservatives favor Cruz.
“Cruz does so badly among moderates that it is hard to make a case for him as the consensus candidate. Trump’s ability at this stage of the game to gain solid support among all demographic groups makes him a significant favorite to win the nomination. It is interesting to note that there is a significant gender gap inside the race for the GOP nomination – as Trump wins only 29 percent support among men but wins 47 percent support among women who will be voting in the GOP primary elections. Among conservative women voting in the GOP primaries, Trump wins 53 percent support,” Wenzel reported.
The survey shows Trump collecting nearly 40 percent of the GOP support, but also 31 percent of the independents and even 26-plus percent of the Democrats.
While Ohio Gov. John Kasich gets 31 percent of the Democrats who responded to the poll, most other candidates share tiny fractions. Only Cruz was event close to Trump, with 21 percent of the Democrats, 24 percent of the GOP and 21 percent of the independents.
It showed Trump dominates among those voters who think of themselves as very liberal or liberal, with 60 percent and 40 percent support, respectively. But he’s no slouch among the moderate and conservatives either, with support higher than 41 percent in each group. The rest of the support was splintered among the candidates.
The question: “If you were voting today in your state’s primary or caucus election for the Republican nomination for president, and the candidates were, in alphabetical order, Jeb Bush, Ben Carson, Chris Christie, Ted Cruz, Carly Fiorina, John Kasich, Marco Rubio and Donald Trump, for whom would you vote?”
Among men and women, Trump also had far and away leads, with 30 percent of the men and more than 46 percent of the women. Only Cruz was within sight, with about 23 percent of support from each group.
Trump dominated, too, among the religious categories, getting 40 percent support from Protestants, 30 percent from Catholics, 40 percent of Jews and more. Trump also dominated among the age groups as well as across all geographic regions in the country
