UK should quit the EU

The Guardian headline is supporting government propaganda that 9 out of 10 economists warn of a dire future if Britain exits the EU. For a newspaper who published Snowden, I would expect a lot more integrity on this issue. The Guardian is reporting propaganda on a grand scale. They reported that “Some 72% [of economists] said that a vote to leave would most likely have a negative impact on growth for 10-20 years.”

The propaganda implies that economic growth in Britain has benefited from the EU single market since it joined in 1973. Let us expose the lies and corruption propagated by this pool of economists. Using the government’s own statistics from the Office for National Statistics, annual economic growth for Britain peaked BEFORE it joined the EU and has been declining ever since. This forecast that leaving the EU will have a negative impact on British economic growth is clearly a bunch off lies. Annual economic growth for Britain has fallen ever since it joined the EU in 1973. Each rally produced a lower economic growth peak.

This is the end of Britain if it remains in the EU and the media will not tell the truth or expose what is going on all to save the jobs of bureaucrats at the expense of their own families (feel free to forward this article to everyone). The British pound peaked against the dollar in 1864. It has been a bear market long-term. If the pound simply now closes below 14600 for 2016, it will fall to make new historic lows well under par to the dollar seen back in 1985.

Economists are notoriously incapable of forecasting the future. Larry Summers publicly admitted on Bloomberg that they are incapable of forecasting anything. I think they would have a far better chance of consulting a palm reader than a mainstream economist. If they cannot forecast the future, all they do is mouth whatever the government pays them to do. I have stated it before, when I was asked by the government back in 1985 to effectively “save the world” it was clear, they have such hearings only as a dog and pony show. The government then stands up and does what it wanted to do anyway and pretends they consult experts.

Brady Commission

Because I spoke out against manipulating the dollar to reduce the trade deficit back in 1985 which started the G5 with the Plaza Accord, I have had a reputation of being outside the mainstream yet behind the curtain I have always been the one they all want to hear from. These politicians could not understand that they sold 1/3rd of the national debt to the Japanese back then and trying to reduce the trade deficit by lowering the dollar was just brain-dead. Saying they “wanted” the dollar down by 40% I warned would set off a crash within 2 years, which manifested in 1987. When that took place, then they wanted me again to contribute to the Brady Commission. My biggest accomplishment was at the end of the Brady Report, they said they thought “currency” had something to do with the event. There was no way that report would bluntly blame the G5.

Then these politicians in Congress reduced the tax advantages/amortization on real estate and created the S&L Crisis they had to bailout. There is absolutely no crisis created by the private sector – they have all been created by government right down to telling the IMF to provide loans to Russia so the bankers could exploit them and end up with the 1998 Long-Term Capital Management Crisis and the first Fed Bailout of a hedge fund. The Fed bailed out LTCM hedge fund because they owed banks huge money. They were really bailout the banks when there was no authority to bailout a hedge fund. That was a ploy to hide what banks were really out on a limb.

Today, the faulty construction of the Euro is destroying the European economy and creating the greatest risk for civil unrest and European war. They are telling Britain to surrender all independence to Brussels to save the Euro which is doomed. Like LTCM, it is not about a single market and Britain will suffered economically, their own statistic prove that is a lie. This is about saving Europe and Britain cannot rescue Brussels but will simply hold its hand as they fall off the cliff together. Sure, they will not publish what we have to say publicly yet at the same time behind the curtain we are the firm they pay attention to because they know the accuracy of our model long-term.

May 1997, the Treasury was publicly starting to try to talk the dollar down once again doing what they wanted to do politically exactly as they did back in 1985. I wrote to Robert Rubin, who was the one doing this nonsense, trying to talk the dollar down once again. Note it was May 1997 when I wrote reminding them of 1987 and that yes we were the firm consulted during that crisis. Now notice the date when the future Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner responded quickly on June 4th within 15 days. They are well aware of our model and how it has called the shots globally for decades. They do not respond to most people. The reason they respond to us has been because of the reputation of our model behind the curtain.

The Asia Currency Crisis hit within weeks of that correspondence in July 1997. Once again our model was correct in picking that crisis. I have given it my best shot to try to help curb this insane trend of politicians gone wild. I have been fortunate that the markets have always been like an ATM machine for me so I have never had to worry about making money to pay bills. This luxury has allowed me to try to help reduce the chaos in the world economy, but to no avail. I have been compelled to watch these events unfold powerless to prevent them because the self-interest of those in power always dominates the good for society.

Central Bank China

Yet that 1997 Asian Currency Crisis led to me to being perhaps the first analyst to be invited to Beijing by the central bank. The central bank of China has publicly even announced that they use “capital flow analysis” to gauge monetary policy. Since that is the model we created, I think that states a rather blunt fact with the regard for our model behind the curtain.

Everyone behind the curtain knows of the accuracy of our computer. Fine, I do not do interviews with mainstream press for the simple reason they usually do not want to air what our model projects. Nonetheless, I was asked to appear with the French Finance Minister on national French TV, Mr. Sapin. He declined so they filmed a piece on me alone. Then he showed up at the TV station as if he would appear knowing I was not there so they improvised and played the piece on me and then confronted him on TV. Of course his response was that nobody could forecast and what I had to say did not help “confidence” in government. He then went on to deliver his forecast how the French economy would boom. So it is not like the people in the highest place do not know about our model. It’s just that nobody wants to dare talk about something that warns they are dead wrong.

Let’s tell the truth here. The British will be given EU Tax IDS and will go down with the ship. British financial markets can be barred from short-selling on any whim from Brussels, and British corporations will find their taxes will be raised by Brussels. The structure of the EU government is ANTI-DEMOCRATIC since it removed every possible means for the people to ever change government. The one thing they get to vote on is the EU Parliament which neither introduces legislation nor does it vote to approve anything (see BREXIT – the Movie). That is all done behind the curtain. This is a dictatorship and every newspaper should be screaming at the top of their lungs if they really gave two shits about themselves as personal individuals of the future for their children. Is this not the same result had they just surrendered to Hitler?

The Euro WILL FAIL. The mainstream press will never report what our computer has to say when it goes against the government. Yes, the FT published in 1998 on the front page when we forecast that Russia would collapse. But that was Russia – not Western Society. Sorry, its the same computer model which is forecasting the collapse ahead.

I am shocked the Guardian has allowed itself to present the government propaganda rather than investigating the truth. They do not address the serious flawed structure of the Euro nor do they explain to the people what they will face, corporations, or how the financial markets of London are over. They certainly do not addressed that all British will get tax IDS from Brussels nor will they explain that corporate taxes will be set not by the Queen’s Parliament, but by Brussels. Why do they not address the issues in the BREXIT – the Movie?

Certainly the mainstream media would never bother to call me given the fact the EU Commission designing the Euro all attended our conference there in 1998 in London. They did not visit the 9 out of 10 pretend economists who preach the party-line because they are paid to regurgitate propaganda and are incapable of forecasting anything anyway. Why do you think all the banks support rejecting BREXIT? Because they are told to do so and no analyst in any bank could dare to tell the truth for the central banks will prejudice that bank. No institution will dare speak the truth for fear of government retaliation.

I was flat outright told to be a “good boy” and churn out bogus studies where the government tells economists what conclusion they need and I would be paid millions by them each year. They tried to seize our computer and have tried to silence our forecasts. But we survived everything because we do not put out the bullshit everyone else does just for money. I am concerned about my posterity. What kind of a world are we leaving behind? Nobody cares about their families anymore?

I am very disappointed in the Guardian. They should be leading the charge and would find also their readership explode if they did. Brussels will destroy London. That is an ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY.

Europe invested in hard rail trains in the World Wars in order to get troupes and supplies to the battlefields.  The US didn’t have to do that.  After the war, they invested more in trains to get around and they seemed to like that.

Having the Euro as a common currency was a convenience to traveling Europeans, until their poorest countries took on too much debt and defaulted.  That threatened the Euro’s value and put all the other countries at risk. 

European governments slid into socialism rather easily after World War II, with socialized medicine and government pension plans, but these government giveaways gave Europe a boat anchor on growth, 25% unemployment and a 50% tax rate, still, Europeans didn’t rebel.

The UN Marxists invented the EU as a dress rehearsal for a one-world government, but their draconian domestic policies are the source of complaints by Europeans.

The Baltic states were the only ones to insist on having a private economy.  Having suffered under Communism, they were successful.

The US Marxists have been pushing for socialized medicine and the Europeanization of America and this has failed.  Obamacare is the poster child for this failed attempt, so the US will change direction beginning in 2017. 

If the Brits exit the EU, it will be to regain elective control of their government.  They should also toss out the UN and EU policies that they have suffered under including excessive Muslim immigration and the loss of the rights they won with the Magna Carta in 1215 AD.  Like the US, the Brits need to cut government spending in half and pay off their debt.

Green cards to Mideast Muslims 'out of control', Record 1.1 million given permanent status in U.S. since 2001, by Leo Hohmann, 5/29/16

According to new data released by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the government expanded its Muslim immigration program by nearly one-third in 2014.

Green cards were given to 103,901 migrants from countries in the Middle East in fiscal 2014 – 32 percent more than the 78,917 it issued in 2013, and 56 percent more than the 66,415 than it issued in 2001.

Although DHS has not yet published statistics for fiscal 2015, the 103,901 green cards issued in 2014 brings the total number issued to migrants from the Middle East from 2001 through 2014 to an astounding 1,114,453.

Democratic Party front-runner Hillary Clinton wants to increase the influx of Syrian refugees from 10,000 to 65,000, an increase of more than 500 percent.

Donald Trump, the presumed GOP nominee, has said he wants to temporarily ban all Muslims from entering the U.S. but has showed signs of softening that stance recently.

If all Muslim-majority countries are included, not just those in the Mideast, the U.S. gave green cards to 680,000 people in one five-year period under President Obama from 2009 to 2013, more than double the 270,000 green cards given to people from E.U. countries over the same period.

The newly released stats for 2014 show the greatest increases in green cards were issued to migrants from the following countries:

• Afghanistan (2,196 in 2013 to 10,527 in 2014)
• Iraq (9,552 in 2013 to 19,153 in 2014)
• Pakistan (13,251 in 2013 to 18,612 in 2014).

Jessica Vaughan, director of policy studies at the Washington-based Center for Immigration Studies, notes much attention has been focused on the risks of admitting thousands of Syrian refugees, who the FBI says cannot be adequately vetted, even though they are supposedly put through the most intense review of any category of immigrant.

“However we routinely admit much higher numbers of immigrants from the same part of the world, who apparently are not subjected to the same level of scrutiny as the Syrians – more than 100,000 immigrants from Middle Eastern countries in 2014 alone,” Vaughan told WND.

“And there are even more who are admitted as temporary visitors – at least we hope that they are temporary visitors and not jihadists, because we have little way of knowing,” she added. “This is occurring at a time when ISIS is promising that it will exploit our lenient immigration system to send operatives to attack.”

One of the best ways to prevent another attack like the one in San Bernardino last year would be to reduce the number of overall admissions to traditional levels and to impose better anti-fraud measures, such as in the Visa Security and Integrity bill that the U.S. House Judiciary Committee just passed, Vaughan said.

William Gheen, president of Americans for Less Immigration, or ALIPAC, said green card issuances are “out of control.” He believes the record immigration rates will play heavy in helping Democrats and liberal Republicans clear the last hurdle in their attempt to turn the U.S. into their version of utopia – something akin to Sweden, France or Germany.

“Obama is breaking many laws and destroying the U.S. Constitution to import as many people as possible who can be counted on to vote Democrat, oppress Americans loyal to the Constitution and institute their radical agenda for full gun confiscation,” Gheen told WND.

“Confiscating American guns and violating the American freedoms found in the Bill of Rights is a job Americans won’t do, but Obama’s imported illegal aliens and Muslim refugees will,” he said. “The United States is under siege from within by growing armies of imported Muslims and illegals being brought here to wreck the lives of U.S. citizens by those guilty of high crimes and treason within our own government.”

A green card entitles the foreign national to “lawful permanent status” in the U.S. and gives them access to federal benefits, lifetime residency, work authorization and a direct route to becoming a U.S. citizen with full voting rights. It also affords them the opportunity to have their family members abroad join them in the U.S.

Refugees must apply for the green card one year after they are admitted into the U.S., but refugees have instant access to a free public education and federal welfare benefits, including Temporary Assistance to Needy Families, or TANF; food stamps; the supplemental nutrition program for women, infants and children, or WIC; and Medicaid. The most recent report from the Office of Refugee Resettlement shows 39 percent of Mideast refugees use TANF, 76 percent use Medicaid, and 90 percent use food stamps.

Census Bureau data shows migration from the Middle East to be one of the fastest-growing categories.

If left in place, the president’s refugee plan would substantially boost the annual number of migrants from this region admitted to the U.S. who, in turn, would be able to petition for their relatives to migrate to the U.S. in the future.

Refugee and asylee admissions from Iraq, Somalia and Iran alone contributed 124,000 new green-card recipients from 2009 to 2013, according to a statement from the office of Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., who announced on Friday he would be open to considering an offer to run as vice president on the Trump ticket.

Record 41.3 million foreign-born population

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the foreign-born population in the United States now stands at a record 41.3 million.

One-quarter of the U.S. population is now either foreign-born or has foreign-born parents. The Census Bureau projects the percentage of the population born outside the country will soon pass the highest percentage ever recorded and continue rising to new all-time records never before witnessed – unless Congress passes a law to reduce green card allotments.

Polling data collected by Pew Research Center shows that 83 percent of the public (across all parties) opposes this baseline and believes the level of immigration should either be frozen or reduced.

“By a nearly 10-1 margin, Americans of all backgrounds are united in their shared belief that companies with positions to fill should raise wages instead of bringing in new lower-wage labor from abroad,” Sessions says.

Teddy Kennedy’s legacy

The Immigration Act of 1965 was the catalyst for the current boom in U.S. immigration.

Senate immigration subcommittee chairman Ted Kennedy reassured his colleagues and the nation with the following statement in 1965:

“First, our cities will not be flooded with a million immigrants annually. Under the proposed bill, the present level of immigration remains substantially the same … Secondly, the ethnic mix of this country will not be upset … Contrary to the charges in some quarters, [the bill] will not inundate America with immigrants from any one country or area, or the most populated and deprived nations of Africa and Asia … In the final analysis, the ethnic pattern of immigration under the proposed measure is not expected to change as sharply as the critics seem to think.”

Kennedy concluded by saying:

“The bill will not flood our cities with immigrants. It will not upset the ethnic mix of our society. It will not relax the standards of admission. It will not cause American workers to lose their jobs.” (U.S. Senate, Subcommittee on Immigration and Naturalization of the Committee on the Judiciary, Washington, D.C., Feb. 10, 1965. pp. 1-3.)

In 1970, fewer than 1 in 21 U.S. residents were foreign-born. Today, is it nearly 1 in 7 and rising. “This enormous growth in the foreign labor supply – driven by green cards – has held down pay and salaries,” Sessions adds. “Wages today are lower than they were in 1973.”

Following the numerically smaller immigration wave from 1880 through 1920, Congress reduced immigration for the next half-century. “This migratory pause helped usher in a period of rapid wage growth for both America’s immigrant and U.S.-born workers who were able to rise together into an expanding middle class,” according to Sessions.

Visa changes enacted in 1965 then helped produce a record wave of new immigration. Congress is now in the midst of stacking another five-decade record-breaking immigration wave on top of this last five-decade wave – producing 100 years of continuous record-breaking immigration.

Pew Research projects that this next immigration wave will add another 103 million to the U.S. population (new immigrant arrivals and their future children) by 2065 – or the population equivalent of 25 cities of Los Angeles.

“To curb this extreme level of future immigration growth, as a super majority of voters wish, will require Congress to take up and pass a bill to reduce the number of visas issued on autopilot each and every year,” Sessions said.

Immigration Explosion

Since 1989, when legal immigration numbers doubled from 500 thousand per year to over 1 million per year, we have allowed 61 million foreigners to immigrate to the US.

Job creation since 2008 has not kept up with the labor supply because of excessive immigration of all sorts.  We have created about 1.8 million new jobs per year since 2008.

Most of these jobs have gone to immigrants.  We have admitted about 1.8 million immigrants to the US and issued work permits of all sorts.

We have 1.8 million new entrants to the workforce as students graduate and attempt to go to work.  Our new grads are not able to find jobs and college grads continue to work in service jobs and live with their parents.

On top of the 1.8 million legal immigrants, we have had a surge of additional sources including more illegal immigrants, foreign temp agency workers replacing US citizens and refugees.

If you add in corporate sponsored immigration and all the other types of immigration, we have been receiving 3 million more immigrants each year for the past several years and Obama wants to increase this number with third-world refugees and open border illegals.  Most of these immigrants are on US welfare rolls and are therefore not contributing to our economy.

We can restore our economy

If we can get Trump elected and increase the numbers of sane Senators and House Reps, we should be able to make the changes we need to make to begin to clean up this mess in 2017.

We need to stop immigration to give our unemployed 102 million working age US citizens a chance to secure employment.

We need to ban Sharia law in the US as incompatible with US law to send a message to Muslims that they will need to comply with US law.

We need to end bad trade practices to allow for “fair trade” and reduce our trade deficit.

We need to end bad Executive Orders and reverse bad job-killing federal regulations.

We need to make the federal government compliant with the US Constitution (as written) and close unconstitutional federal departments, agencies and programs.

We need to cut federal spending on unnecessary programs by $1 trillion a year and begin to pay off the National Debt.

We need to declare global warming a hoax, end UN Agenda 21 implementation and unleash energy and resource production and increase energy exports.

We need to cut federal taxes on individuals and corporations to allow companies to return manufacturing operations back to the US expand our economy.

Cheap Tomatoes

900 teachers just got laid off from the Los Angeles Unified School District. They are $650,000 over their annual budget.

The following by an English teacher helps to explain one area that looms large over California's educational crisis.

I hope each person receiving this mail will read it carefully, all the way to the end.

It is sad what is happening to our great country all because our politicians are afraid they will miss out on a vote. What a travesty!

"As you listen to the news about the student protests over illegal immigration, there are some things that you should be aware of:

I am in charge of the English-as-a-second-language department at a large Southern California high school which is designated a Title 1 school meaning that its students average lower socioeconomic and income levels.

Most of the schools you are hearing about, South Gate High, Bell Gardens, Huntington Park , etc., where these students are protesting, are also Title 1 schools.

       

Title 1 schools are on the free breakfast and free lunch program.. When I say free breakfast, I'm not talking a glass of milk and a roll -- but a full breakfast and cereal bar with fruits and juices that would make the Marriott proud. The waste of this food is monumental, with trays and trays of it being dumped in the trash uneaten.

I estimate that well over 50% of these students are obese or at least moderately overweight. About 75% or more DO have cell phones. The school also provides day care centers for the unwed teenage pregnant girls (some as young as 13) so they can attend class without the inconvenience of having to arrange for babysitters or having family watch their kids.

I was ordered to spend $700,000 on my department or risk losing funding for the upcoming year even though there was little need for anything; my budget was already substantial. I ended up buying new computers for the computer learning center, half of which, one month later, have been carved with graffiti by the appreciative students who obviously feel humbled and grateful to have a free education in America.

I have had to intervene several times for young substitute teachers whose classes consist of many illegal immigrant students here in the country less than 3 months who raised so much hell with the female teachers, calling them putas (whores) and throwing things, that the teachers were in tears.

Free medical, free education, free food, day care, etc., etc., etc. Is it any wonder they feel entitled not only to be in this country but to demand rights, privileges and entitlements?

To those who want to point out how much these illegal immigrants contribute to our society because they LIKE their gardener and housekeeper and they like to pay less for tomatoes: spend some time in the real world of illegal immigration and see the TRUE costs.

Higher insurance, medical facilities closing, higher medical costs, more crime, lower standards of education in our schools, overcrowding, new diseases etc., etc., etc. For me, I'll pay more for tomatoes.

Americans, We need to wake up. The guest worker program will be a disaster because we won't have the guts to enforce it. Does anyone in their right mind really think they will voluntarily leave and return?

It does, however, have everything to do with culture: A third-world culture that does not value education, that accepts children getting pregnant and dropping out ofschool by 15, and that refuses to assimilate, and an American culture that has become so weak and worried about "political correctness" that we don't have the will to do anything about it.

If this makes your blood boil, as it did mine, forward this to

Refugee Testimony

Editor: Yes! I know there are many more! I am still sorting my e-mail in search of the testimony you sent to the US State Department in response to the DOS request for public comment on the “size and scope” of the UN/US Refugee Admissions Program for FY2017.

The day before the deadline for submission of testimony I noticed (maybe you were all ahead of me and noticed!) that the dates were wrong in the Federal Register.  I happened to see a comment sent by lawyers to the DOS asking that the comment period be re-opened because citizens, who might like to have testified, didn’t think the notice was for a comment period this year, but for last year.   See here.

Dear Ms. Richard:

I have to believe that you do not realize the havoc you are creating across our great nation, or certainly you would take steps to alleviate it.

Your actions are resulting in overcrowded schools with resources stretched beyond the breaking point.

Your actions are causing communities to go nearly bankrupt because their resources are not sufficient to manage the multiple problems and needs of these new people.

Your actions are creating danger in the communities because these new people cannot obtain substantial work and hence are resorting to criminal activities.

Your actions are resulting in increases in unemployment among American workers because these new people are forced by necessity to work for substandard wages when they can find jobs.

Your actions are allowing the growing group of Islamic people to become even larger with the possible potential for Shari’ah to be instituted in parts of our country, a system of life that is totally at odds with our nation of freedom.

I could go on and on but I am sure that you are receiving many comments from other concerned citizens and are becoming aware of what we are worried about. We are simply not able to absorb the masses of people you are trying to bring into our communities. We have plenty of problems in our cities and towns and our money and talents should be directed to them.

Let the other countries deal with their problems and let us deal with ours. We are not, and should not be, the savior of all nations. If America is to survive as a sovereign country this massive and ill-advised immigration program must stop.

States should have final control over resettlement activities within their state borders. Until there is evaluation of and FULL DISCLOSURE of the costs and other impacts associated with resettling the thousands of refugees, I am strongly opposed to continuing the Refugee Admissions Program for 2017. The program should be suspended or put on hold until the costs and impacts have been revealed to the American public.

Schools are overburdened, with some now having 75 different languages. The education of our children will be impacted as teachers try to address the additional language, learning and emotional difficulties inherent in refugee children.

There was a lot of information that should have ben a red flag to those “vetting” the San Bernardino killer.

In addition to the burdens to the American people in more ways than just increased taxes, fewer jobs, and less care for our Veterans and Seniors, there is a danger in not properly vetting people from areas where there is a predominant ideology to destroy those who do not believe as they do.

I live not far from San Bernardino, where this ideology was espoused by terrorists who killed people who had just given him and his wife a baby shower! Isn’t this much like the good will extended to refugees as they settle in other towns? There was evidence from the wife’s Facebook page that she had pledged allegiance to ISIS.

Certainly we need to take the time to ensure that each individual refugee has a clean past. The vetting process MUST NOT be shortened to anything less than the 18-24 month standard. The responsibility to protect American citizens falls upon your department. Please do not let us down.

It is not selfish to put America first, because only when we are great can we lend a helping hand to those in need.

Refugees in West Virginia

West Virginia you are up next as expanding federal refugee program looking for fresh territory, by Ann Corcoran 5/29/16

And, West Virginia is fresh indeed!  It is one of the states the UN/US State Department program forgot (until now).  Other states with tiny refugee populations are Joe Biden’s Delaware, Bill Clinton’s Arkansas, a few states in the deep south and of course Montana and Wyoming.  I always assumed that Democratic Senator Bobby (“Sheets”) Byrd had kept the program out of West Virginia, but he is gone.

The Islamic Association of West Virginia (a mosque) is expanding its space. They are involved in the local ‘Interfaith’ group looking to bring Syrians to Charleston. http://www.wvgazettemail.com/news/20160409/muslims-outgrow-mosque-in-south-charleston

I just now checked the State Department data and since 2008, West Virginia ‘welcomed’ 156 refugees with the largest number being Iraqis (59), Burmese (46) and Eritreans (40). Tiny numbers of course compared to states which receive in the thousands each year. Guess the low-wage refugee workers will now be competing with out of work coal miners.

Here is the news from the Charleston Gazette-Mail (emphasis is mine):

They all think that economic boom times will follow the refugees (it doesn’t, all of you citizens of West Virginia, please learn from what happened in Utica, here).

As Charleston’s population continues to decline, a refugee resettlement service is considering opening an agency in the city that would assist hundreds of refugees in moving to the area.

Episcopal Migration Ministries [one of nine top federal contractors—ed] a refugee-resettlement agency, sent Jeffrey Hawks and Allison Duvall to Charleston to learn more about the city this week. Hawks is a consultant for the organization, while Duvall is an employee.

The West Virginia Interfaith Refugee Ministry [remember my warning about these ‘interfaith’ groups!—ed] a group that started to create greater understanding of the plight of Syrian refugees, is working to turn Charleston into one of the Episcopal Migration Ministry’s “resettlement communities.” The ministry has 30 of those communities in cities throughout the United States.

The agencies work with local organizations in each city to assist refugees with translation, food, clothing, housing, education, mental health support, medical services, job training and community orientation.

Anti-Muslim sentiment is rampant throughout the country. Donald Trump, the Republican candidate for president, has called for a ban on Muslims entering the United States. Many have called for preventing Syrian refugees, fleeing the carnage of civil war in their country, from entering the country. A West Virginia lawmaker even started a petition to ban them from West Virginia.

However, a group of Charlestonians sat in a meeting room at St. John’s Episcopal Church Thursday afternoon and took turns trying to convince Hawks and Duvall that Charleston would be an ideal place for refugees from Syria and other places to live…

More evidence that the federal contractors are out looking for fresh territory in which to seed Syrians (and other refugees).

But they didn’t have to do much convincing. Episcopal Migration Ministries has already researched Charleston and decided it would be a good fit for refugees. Ultimately, whether the city can be selected as one of the ministry’s resettlement communities will be up to the U.S. Department of State, Hawks said.

Now check this out!  The local Islamic Center is one step ahead of you all with their propaganda campaign (gotta fill that new building!):

Hawks and Duvall met a friendly crowd Thursday evening as well. They attended “The Refugee Experience” at 7 p.m. at the Islamic Association of West Virginia, in South Charleston. At the community event, refugees spoke about their experiences resettling in Charleston.

And, then this is new!  I have never heard of a federal contractor expecting up front money from a wannabe subcontractor.  They must really be stretched to get Obama’s 85,000 refugees in here by the end of the year and be ready for his proposed 100,000 for next year.

…those in Charleston organizing the effort will need to raise about $90,000 for upfront costs. They will need to pay for the salary of at least one employee of the agency for every 75 placements. Continue reading here.

I can’t guarantee that Trump can save us, but I know for sure that Hillary Clinton will put the refugee program on steroids if elected in November!

P.S. It is Sunday morning, maybe it’s time for any of you Episcopalians reading this to have a word with your priests and church leaders about what they are doing in the name of your faith!

An afterthought: It occurred to me right after I hit ‘post’ that this story might bring in new readers who don’t know that we have been writing about several new sites to be colonized including Missoula, MT, Ithaca, NY, Reno, NV, Rutland, VT and Fayetteville, AR.
