A total
of 1,585 delegates will vote at the GOP convention. It requires 1,237 delegate votes to secure
the Presidential nomination. The
delegate counts by candidate as of 3/7/16 are:
Donald Trump 384, Ted Cruz 300, Marco Rubio 151 and John Kasich 37.
So far, 21
States and 1 Territory have voted as of 3/7/16 including Iowa, Nevada, New
Hampshire, South Carolina, Alaska, Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia,
Massachusetts, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Kansas,
Kentucky, Louisiana, Nebraska, Maine (Puerto Rico).
The other
States and Territories are scheduled to vote through March, April, May and
June.
Hawaii,
Idaho, Michigan and Mississippi will vote on 3/8/16. Florida,
Illinois, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio will vote on 3/15/16. Arizona and Utah
will vote on 3/22/16.
April
votes include Wisconsin, Wyoming, New York, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland,
Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Indiana.
May votes
include Nebraska, West Virginia, Oregon and Washington State.
June
votes include California, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico and South Dakota.
GOP
Convention will be held July 18-21 in Cleveland Ohio.
