US Debt Crisis 10-31-24

In FY 2024 total government spending was $6.75 trillion and total revenue was $4.92 trillion, resulting in a deficit of $1.83 trillion, an increase of $138 billion from the previous fiscal year

The culprits include the “Omnibus Bill” that is 2000 to 4000 pages long and is released 2 days ahead of the Vote. Republicans are right to insist on “Regular Order” where the Committees vote on Spending Bills one Agency at a time and the House votes on these Bills one at a time. The other culprit is the Fiscal Year End Panic that should be replaced by an automatic continuance of the previous FY spending. This creates a “Bumbs Rush” that isn’t necessary. This would also make 10 year budgets unnecessary. Unless Congress changes their ways, the National Debt will continue to rise.

There are lots of thing to cut including: Federal grants to States that cost $1.2 trillion per year, Foreign Aid that costs for over $1 trillion per year and US Welfare that costs $1 trillion per year.

The US National Debt is approaching $36 trillion. The US national debt at the end of the fiscal year 1989 was $2,857 billion.  With US Federal Spending at record highs, inflation is devaluing the US Dollar.

The US government has been functioning for 235 years from 1789 to 2024 and Federal powers have grown to be all-inclusive and dysfunctional. The US is beginning to transfer powers to the States to begin restoring compliance with the 10th Amendment.  Education has failed and is the first to go. All other Agency groupings need to be reformed and some functions will go to the States. The US Federal Government is broke and needs to cut spending from $6.5 trillion to $4 trillion per year.

Lessons learned in Western Civilization History include the “Fall of the Roman Empire” due to overexpansion and overspending. Other Empires failed due to lack of leadership like the Greek Empire after the death of Alexander the Great. The US needs to cut spending and develop competent leaders to survive.

The American Civil War (1861–1865) caused the U.S. government's debt to grow more than 40 times, from $64.8 million in 1860 to $2.6 billion at the war's end:

The current US Debt (1989-2024) has grown 12.6 times from $2.857 trillion in 1989 to approaching $36 trillion in 2024. We are fully capable of growing the US economy to retire our $36 trillion debt if we do it correctly by reducing the unconstitutional powers that have been added to the Federal Budget since 1913. Inflation since 1913 has reduced the value of the US Dollar to 4 cents. We cannot reduce the Debt with Tax Increases or we will destroy our entire economy.

The US Federal Government should cut USAID to foreign countries and cut Grants to States, Counties and Cities. Most of these Grants are for unnecessary 12-foot multi-use paths, green spaces and other non-critical projects. States should be responsible for the maintenance of their Interstate Highways and State Roads. Counties should be responsible for their Roads, Water and Sewer systems. Cities should be responsible for their Roads and Streets and storm sewers.

The US Federal Government should consider giving all National Parks back to the States where they are located. This should give these States a break to increase their own GDPs and solve their own forest fire problems. 30% of all US Land is tied up in Federal Parks, Forests, Deserts and Pasture Land.

In 2024, the first $13,610,000 of an estate is exempt from taxes, up from $12,920,000 in 2023. Estate taxes are based on the size of the estate. It's a progressive tax, just like our federal income tax. That means that the larger the estate, the higher the tax rate it is subject to.

Social Security, Medicare and Inheritance Tax Deductions should not be touched. Tax Deductions on Auto Loan Interest is a good idea. Grandparents will continue to support their children and grandchildren until they can support themselves. Parents are allowing their grown children to live at home until they can afford to live on their own. We are all waiting for Trump to restore the US economy.

Illegal Migrant Settlement 10-31-24

Catholic Charities received $1.4 billion in Federal Funds to settle illegal Migrants in the US.

https://www.forbes.com/companies/catholic-charities-usa/

Federal grants: Over half a billion dollars in federal grants make up more than two-thirds of Catholic Charities' annual spending. The US government contracts with Catholic Charities and other NGOs to settle illegals in the US. In 2010, Catholic Charities received $2.9 billion in revenue from the US government. Catholic Charities resettled “Refugees: in the US in 2015.

Resettlement activities normally start when the illegal migrants are delivered to the location of their choice. It involves feeding them, housing them and finding jobs for them. They also arrange for applying for welfare, medical treatment and school enrollment.

Refugees and asylees are eligible for all welfare benefits for the first seven years they reside in the U.S., after which their eligibility is greatly reduced. Non-citizens who have worked for ten years and armed forces personnel and their dependents are eligible for all benefits.

US Asylum Laws need to be repealed and replaced with immigration laws that are based on US labor needs and limited to law-abiding citizens of countries in North and South America. US Companies will need to sponsor all of these migrants with H-Visas. All migrants should be “legal”.

South American Migrants fleeing bad economies should first seek entry to neighboring countries with similar cultures and languages.

US Welfare Cost: 10-31-24

In fiscal year 2022, the federal government spent $1.19 trillion on more than 80 different welfare programs. That represents almost 20% of total federal spending and a quarter of tax revenues in 2022 or $9,000 spent per American household. Mar 15, 2023

Based on SNAP, the states with the highest number of welfare recipients are California with 1,911,000 SNAP households, followed by Florida with 1,632,000, and Texas with 1,595,000. New York and Pennsylvania complete the top five, with 1,520,000 and 946,000 households benefiting from SNAP, respectively.

In 2023, the state that distributed the highest monthly food benefit was Hawaii, according to data compiled by the health journalism outlet KFF Health, with a single recipient receiving $445 per month on average. The Aloha State is followed by Alaska, where the average monthly benefit is $376.Jul 1, 2024

Do immigrants get free healthcare in the US? Two states — California and Oregon — have gone further, funding full Medicaid benefits for all low-income residents who otherwise would be eligible for the program but for their immigration status. Overall welfare spending at the federal, state, and local levels totaled $927.3 billion in FY 2021, five times the expenditure necessary to move all Americans out of poverty, totaling $170 billion (See Poverty Gap).Feb 8, 2024

California will welcome the new year by becoming the first state to offer health insurance for all undocumented immigrants. Starting Jan. 1, all undocumented immigrants, regardless of age, will qualify for Medi-Cal, California's version of the federal Medicaid program for people with low incomes.Dec 29, 2023

Temporary Assistance for Needy Families is about $418.00 per month for a single parent with 2 children. Snap benefits $422.00 per household, (food stamps).Aug 31, 2023

Overall welfare spending at the federal, state, and local levels totaled $927.3 billion in FY 2021, five times the expenditure necessary to move all Americans out of poverty, totaling $170 billion (See Poverty Gap).

In 2023, the average annual premium for health insurance was $8,435 for single coverage and $23,968 for family coverage. This was a 7% increase from the previous year.

In the first quarter of 2024, the uninsured rate in the United States was 8.2%, which is similar to the 7.7% rate in the fourth quarter of 2023. This corresponds to about 27.1 million people without health insurance.

Excessive Spending 10-30-24

What’s in the $1.2 trillion government funding package

By Tami Luhby and Katie Lobosco, CNN Updated 4:49 PM EDT, Thu March 21, 2024

Congress released a massive $1.2 trillion bill on Thursday to fund the rest of the federal government.

The package, which runs more than 1,000 pages, would provide funding for the departments of Defense, Homeland Security, Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, State and the legislative branch. Lawmakers have until the end of Friday to approve the bill to avoid a partial government shutdown.

The legislation would complete the funding of federal agencies through the fiscal year, which ends September 30. Congress earlier this month approved funding for the departments of Agriculture, Commerce, Justice, Veterans Affairs, Energy, Interior, Transportation and Housing and Urban Development, as well as the Food and Drug Administration, military construction and other federal programs.

House Republicans and Democrats each provided summaries of what’s in the bill. Here’s what’s in the package

Homeland Security: The package would provide nearly $62 billion in total discretionary resources for Homeland Security, which was the most contentious of the appropriation bills that lawmakers were negotiating. It would include nearly $59 billion for non-defense programs and more than $3 billion for defense-related programs. The total figure excludes certain offsetting funds.

US Customs and Border Protection would receive nearly $20 billion, an increase of $3 billion from the prior fiscal year. It would provide $495 million to bring the number of Border Patrol agents to 22,000, the highest number ever funded, and $20 million to hire an additional 150 officers to support counter-fentanyl efforts.

It would bolster funding for processing capacity, medical care and the support of children’s well-being, but it does not provide money for a border wall. It increases funding for Transportation Security Administration personnel by more than $1 billion.

US Immigration and Customs Enforcement would receive close to $10 billion. More than $721 million would be provided for transportation and removal operations of people who no longer have a legal basis to remain in the US or who pose a security or safety risk, nearly $292 million more than in President Joe Biden’s budget.

It would increase the number of detention beds to 41,500, which is 7,500 more beds than funded in the prior fiscal year, as part of more than $3 billion for custody operations, the highest amount ever appropriated.

The package would also boost funding for countering fentanyl and human smuggling investigations, non-intrusive inspection technology and staff to assist with the management and processing of those on the non-detained and detained dockets.

US Citizenship and Immigration Services would receive $281 million, including $160 million for refugee processing, asylum and work authorization backlog reduction.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency would receive more than $25 billion, nearly $73 million below the prior fiscal year.

Defense: The bill would provide $824 billion for defense, an increase of nearly $27 billion from fiscal year 2023.

It would hike basic military pay by 5.2%, the largest boost in more than 20 years. It would also beef up the basic allowance for housing by 5.4% and an allowance for meals by 1.7%. Plus, it would continue funding for suicide prevention and sexual assault programs.

The package would provide $300 million for the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative to aid the nation against Russian aggression. The funding is separate from a larger assistance package for Ukraine that is currently bogged down on Capitol Hill.

Bottom of Form

It also would preserve the agency’s travel policy to allow service members and their families access to reproductive health care. And it would cut nearly $51 million from diversity and inclusion programs, rolling back support to fiscal year 2021 levels.

The bill would also increase military funding for Taiwan to $300 million. The funds come from the State Department’s foreign military financing program. Last year, the US approved funding through this program for the first time for Taiwan. The program is typically only used for sovereign nations – a move that angered China, which claims the self-governing island as its own.

State: The package would provide more than $58 billion for state, foreign operations and related programs, a decrease of more than $3 billion from the prior fiscal year.

It would fully fund the US security commitment to Israel of more than $3 billion and prohibit taxpayer dollars from going to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, or UNRWA, which supports Palestinian refugees and has come under fire after Israel alleged some of its staff were involved in Hamas’ October 7 attack. The bill would also eliminate funding for the United Nations Commission of Inquiry against Israel. And it would implement new conditions on any assistance to Gaza.

It would funnel nearly $9 billion for international security assistance to allies and partners through international narcotics control and law enforcement activities, antiterrorism programs and peacekeeping operations, among other efforts.

It would also provide nearly $9 billion in humanitarian assistance to various migration, refugee and international disaster programs.

To address China’s activities in the Indo-Pacific region, the package would provide $300 million to Taiwan to support loans and loan guarantees, $400 million to the Countering the People’s Republic of China Influence Fund and nearly $2 billion “to help counter the growing influence of the PRC (China) in developing countries,” according to the House Democrats’ fact sheet.

It would also direct $125 million to counter fentanyl and other synthetic drugs coming into the US from other countries for the first time.

The package would invest $10 billion in global health initiatives, including the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, known as PEPFAR, and programs to improve maternal and child health and fight infectious disease. That would be nearly $531 million less than the prior fiscal year.

And it would provide an additional 12,000 Special Immigrant Visas for Afghans that helped the US.

Education: The bill would provide $79 billion for the Department of Education, which is $500 million less than the prior fiscal year. The amount is $22 billion more than House Republicans proposed, but $11 billion less than Biden’s budget request.

Nearly $44 billion would be provided for K-12 education. About $18.4 billion – an increase of $20 million above fiscal year 2023 – would go to the Title I program, the largest federal funding source for K-12 schools.

The package calls for nearly $25 billion for federal student aid programs, equal to fiscal year 2023. This keeps the maximum Pell grant, the government’s key aid program for low-income college students, at $7,395 per person. There is an increase in funding for historically Black colleges and universities, known as HBCUs; Hispanic serving institutions; and tribally controlled colleges and universities.

There is no new money for the free community college initiative that Biden has proposed, according to a summary provided by House Republicans.

Financial services and general government: The package includes $26 billion for financial services and general government, a decrease of $1 billion, or 4%, from the prior fiscal year.

The Internal Revenue Service would receive $12 billion, the same as the prior fiscal year and $1 billion more than House Republicans had wanted to provide.

The package would officially claw back about $20 billion of the $80 billion that was provided to the IRS by the Democrat-backed Inflation Reduction Act. The recission was agreed to by Democrats last year in a deal to address the debt ceiling and avoid a US default. These funds were meant to go to the IRS over a 10-year period and support efforts to modernize the agency and ramp up enforcement.

Republicans and Democrats have been at odds over the IRS funding. Despite Democrat assurances that the IRS won’t increase enforcement on taxpayers making less than $400,0000 a year, Republicans claim that agency will use the money to hound middle-class taxpayers and small business owners.

The legislation would provide $143 million for disaster relief efforts at the Small Business Administration, the same amount as last year. The judiciary would receive nearly $9 billion, an increase of $169 million over the prior fiscal year.

The package would also provide $750 million for court security for justices, judges, their families and employees. It would also provide $55 million for election security grants for states to combat voter fraud, maintain voter rolls and improve the administration and security of federal elections.

Labor: The package would provide nearly $14 billion for the Labor Department, which is $145 million below the prior fiscal year’s level. The amount is nearly $5 billion more than House Republicans proposed.

It would provide more than $10 billion for the Employment and Training Administration, slightly lower than the prior fiscal year, and $1.9 billion for worker protection agencies, the same amount as in the last fiscal year’s package.

Health and Human Services: The bill would provide more than $117 billion for HHS. That would be $14 billion more than House Republicans proposed, but $12 billion below Biden’s budget request.

The Child Care and Development Block Grant, which provides child care assistance to low-income parents, would receive nearly $9 billion, an increase of $725 million from the last fiscal year. Head Start, which provides school readiness services to low-income families, would receive more than $12 billion, a boost of $275 million.

The package would provide $4 billion for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, an increase of $25 million from the prior fiscal year.

The National Institutes of Health would receive close to $49 billion, an increase of $300 million from the prior fiscal year, excluding mandatory funding from the 21st Century Cures Act. The National Cancer Institute and research on Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias would receive funding boosts.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention would receive $9 billion, with small increases in funding for safe motherhood and infant health, as well as food safety.

The package would also provide additional money for mental health and substance abuse programs and services.

Congress: The bill would provide nearly $7 billion for the legislative branch, $150 million below the last fiscal year’s level. It would maintain support for an operating budget for congressional offices and would provide funding to pay interns.

The United States Capitol Police would receive nearly $792 million, an increase of $57 million from the prior fiscal year. It would allow the force to hire up to 2,204 sworn officers and 636 civilian employees and continue efforts to beef up the physical security of the Capitol. It also calls for $2 million to provide security to lawmakers outside of the Capitol – including residential and district office security.

Term Limits 10-30-24

US House Members serve 2-year Terms. US Senate Members serve 6-year Terms. There are no “Term Limits” on the Number of Terms House Members and Senate Members can serve. US Business leaders want access to their House and Senate Members to help solve their problems in dealing with Federal Agencies and seem to be happy with “No Term Limits” for House and Senate Members. Business Leaders continue to fund campaigns for their Politicians in order to maintain “access”. The Deck is Stacked. Politicians do what their Campaign Contributors want, not what their voters want. Voters need to fund campaigns with their small donations.

Voters give “Low Approval Ratings” under 20% to House and Senate Members. Voters know that Politicians don’t work for them.

“Those who like sausages and laws should never watch either of them being made.” House and Senate “Rules” dictate how laws are made and some of these “Rules” foster skepticism among voters. The “Rules” allow actions that don’t inspire confidence.

“Horse Trading” that amounts to “I’ll vote for your bad Bill if you vote for my bad Bill.

“Band Wagons: are used to encourage House and Senate Members to vote for Bills they believe will pass.

“Bumb’s Rush” is used to hurry up the voting process before anybody can object to a bad Bill.

“Misnaming the Bill” is routine in hiding bad law.

The Consequences of Bad Laws are not considered.  Politicians will “pile on” if they think the Voters will like it. They don’t want to be seen as a “No Vote” on a Popular Bill. They don’t take the time to question the ultimate cost vs benefit of the Bill.

Moving Blame for a Bad Law was used when Congress refused to pass a Bill that would have declared the Legal Right to Live of an unborn child somewhere between Conception and Delivery. The Congress tossed this “Hot Potato to the Liberal Supreme Court and “Roe v Wade” in January 1973.  The U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade on June 2022 and sent it to the States to have the voters decide. The Consequences of Roe v. Wade included 63,459,781 total abortions since 1973

https://www.nrlc.org/uploads/factsheets/FS01AbortionintheUS.pdf

The United States government began operating under the Constitution on March 4, 1789. The Founders were elected and were careful to consult with merchants to learn what would help them move goods and engineers to solve transportation problems. George Washington served for 2 terms, paid off the war debt in 1790 by selling Bonds and retired to his Plantation in 1797. The next two Presidents were John Adams and Thomas Jefferson. The Free Press ensured that voters knew the issues that involved debates over states rights and limited federal powers. Voters could read at grade level.

Better Candidates could be found and convinced to run. There several reasons that the Best Candidates don’t run. Campaigns are too expensive because of reliance on TV ads. “Hit Job TV ads” need to be banned as libel and slander. Political ads should be restricted to issues. Candidates need to be required to have a website that lists their positions on all issues and includes a full, vetted Resume so voters can see if their experience is sufficient. Candidates should include their voting Records on their Website and the Voting Records of their Opponent. Candidates need to be able to explain their Votes.

States need to change their campaign laws to make running less expensive and less onerous. State Legislatures could limit outside money so that Soros is banned from US election interference. If only voters could make campaign contributions, and only for candidates who appear on their ballot, the Politicians would work for the voters. State Legislatures will resist this, because they are used to the current system.

The problem with tight term limits without other changes is that we would get the same crowd and they would not be in office long enough to learn how it works. Term Limits of 10 years for the House and 12 years for the Senate could work if the onerous elements were removed. Democrats have the worst candidates. Republicans have a good deep bench of potential candidates. To restore a 2-party system, Democrats will have to clean up their act.

Term Limits were not included in the Original Constitution. We were blessed to have Founders running the US Government from 1800 to 1830. George Washington was able to retire after two 4-year terms and know that the other Founders would do well.

We have a Deep Bench of Republican Leaders. The Democrats have a Thin Bench of Candidates who lack the right background and lack good judgment.

If Term Limits are passed, Party Leaders will need to ensure that qualified back-up candidates are being developed. Trump chose Vance to continue the MAGA movement.

Agenda47: Protecting Students from the Radical Left and Marxist Maniacs Infecting Educational Institutions July 17, 2023

Mar-a-Lago, FL— In an Agenda47 policy video, President Donald J. Trump announced his plan to reclaim our once great educational institutions from the radical Left and Marxist maniacs.

President Trump will protect American students, impose real standards on higher education, and hold colleges and universities accountable.

“For many years, tuition costs at colleges and universities have been exploding, and I mean absolutely exploding while academics have been obsessed with indoctrinating America's youth," President Trump said. "The time has come to reclaim our once great educational institutions from the radical Left, and we will do that.”

President Trump has pledged to fire the radical Left accreditors that have allowed our colleges to become dominated by Marxist Maniacs and lunatics.

He will impose real standards on American colleges and universities, to include defending the American tradition and Western civilization, protecting free speech, eliminating wasteful administrative positions that drive up costs, removing all DEI bureaucrats, offering options for accelerated and low-cost degrees, providing meaningful job placement and career services, and implementing college entrance and exit exams to prove that students are getting their money's worth.

Once back in the White House, President Trump will direct the Department of Justice to pursue federal civil rights cases against schools that continue to engage in racial discrimination and will advance a measure to have schools that continue these illegal and unjust policies fined up to the entire amount of their endowment.

TRANSCRIPT

For many years, tuition costs at colleges and universities have been exploding, and I mean absolutely exploding while academics have been obsessed with indoctrinating America's youth. The time has come to reclaim our once great educational institutions from the radical Left, and we will do that.

Our secret weapon will be the college accreditation system. It's called accreditation for a reason. The accreditors are supposed to ensure that schools are not ripping off students and taxpayers, but they have failed totally. When I return to the White House, I will fire the radical Left accreditors that have allowed our colleges to become dominated by Marxist Maniacs and lunatics.

We will then accept applications for new accreditors who will impose real standards on colleges once again and once and for all.

These standards will include defending the American tradition and Western civilization, protecting free speech, eliminating wasteful administrative positions that drive up costs incredibly, removing all Marxist diversity, equity, and inclusion bureaucrats, offering options for accelerated and low-cost degrees, providing meaningful job placement and career services, and implementing college entrance and exit exams to prove that students are actually learning and getting their money's worth.

Furthermore, I will direct the Department of Justice to pursue federal civil rights cases against schools that continue to engage in racial discrimination. And schools that persist in explicit unlawful discrimination under the guise of equity will not only have their endowment taxed, but through budget reconciliation, I will advance a measure to have them fined up to the entire amount of their endowment.

A portion of the seized funds will then be used as restitution for victims of these illegal and unjust policies, policies that hurt our country so badly. Colleges have gotten hundreds of billions of dollars from hard-working taxpayers and now we are going to get this anti-American insanity out of our institutions once and for all.

We are going to have real education in America. Thank you.

The cure for high education costs is to return to Occupational Degrees and lower attendants back to 10%. Non-Occupational courses are Hobbies and don’t produce the levels of income that were provided when college degrees wee limited to 10%. If you can’t get a job that pays anything with your Non-Occupational Degree, you shouldn’t have borrowed more than you can ever repay. The big lie was that a “college degree” would allow you to earn more. Colleges should not have this lie subsidized by taxpayers.

The US needs to ensure that students can learn to Read, Write and do Math in Elementary and High School and perform at “Grade Level”. They also need to score at Grade Level on their Iowa Tests, SATs, ACTs and Entrance Exams. Students need to direct they educations to prepare for a job they will do well and love doing. They will also need to make enough money to become “Self-Sufficient” and able to provide for their own food, shelter and transportation costs as adults. Parents need to convince their children that this is their reality and coach them to develop the skills they will need..

Trump 47 Law and Order 10-29-24

https://www.donaldjtrump.com/agenda47/agenda47-president-trump-announces-plan-to-end-crime-and-restore-law-and-order

Agenda47: President Trump Announces Plan to End Crime and Restore Law and Order February 20, 2023

President Donald J. Trump unveiled his new plan to stop out-of-control crime and keep all Americans safe. In his first term, President Trump reduced violent crime and stood strongly with America’s law enforcement. On Joe Biden’s watch, violent crime has skyrocketed and communities have become less safe as he defunded, defamed, and dismantled police forces. “Joe Biden and the ‘Defund the Police’ Democrats have turned our once great cities into cesspools of bloodshed and crime,” President Trump said.

President Trump’s Plan to Keep American Communities Safe

1. President Trump will sign a record investment in hiring, retention, and training for police officers. The bill will increase vital liability protections for America’s law enforcement officers.

2. President Trump will require local law enforcement agencies receiving DOJ grants to return to proven policing measures such as stop-and-frisk, strictly enforcing existing gun laws, cracking down on the open use of illegal drugs, and cooperating with ICE to arrest and deport criminal aliens.

3. President Trump will take on the radical Marxist prosecutors who have abolished cash bail and refuse to charge criminals. President Trump will direct the DOJ to open civil rights investigations into radical leftist prosecutor’s officers, such as those in Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco to determine whether they have illegally engaged in race-based law enforcement.

4. President Trump will instruct the Department of Justice to dismantle every gang, street crew, and drug network in America. President Trump has also called for the death penalty for drug dealers and human traffickers.

5. President Trump has committed to deploying federal assets, including the National Guard, to restore law and order when local law enforcement refuses to act.

6. President Trump will order the Education and Justice Departments to overhaul federal standards on disciplining minors.

7. Finally, President Trump will sign concealed carry reciprocity legislation, fully secure the border, dramatically increase interior enforcement, and wage war on the cartels.

Transcript:

Joe Biden and the ‘Defund the Police’ Democrats have turned our once great cities into cesspools of bloodshed and crime. There's never been anything like it. Here's my plan to restore law and order in our cities and throughout our country.

First, because police forces have been gutted by Democrats’ war on police, I will sign a record investment in hiring, retention and training for police officers nationwide. So important. This bill will also increase vital liability protections for officers because the Democrats want to take those protections away from our police, because we want them to do their jobs, and we want them to do their jobs right. You can't take their protections away if you're going to have them do their jobs properly.

Second, to qualify for this new funding and all other Justice Department grants, I will insist that local jurisdictions return to proven common sense policing measures, such as stop and frisk— very simple—you stop them and you frisk them, strictly enforcing existing gun laws against convicted felons, cracking down on the open use of illegal drugs, and cooperating with ICE to get criminal aliens off our streets and get them out of our country.

Third, we will go after the radical Marxist prosecutors who are abolishing cash bail, refusing to charge crimes, and surrendering our cities to violent criminals. They have surrendered like never before. I will direct the DOJ to open civil rights investigations into radical left prosecutor’s offices, such as those in Chicago, L.A., and San Francisco to determine whether they have illegally engaged in race-based enforcement of the law. I will also work with Congress to give the victims of their Marxist policies the right to sue local officials for harm and suffering, and it has been great that they have caused. If your small business is pillaged because shoplifting goes unpunished, if you're brutally attacked by a violent felon released without bail or bond, then you will be entitled to massive damages.

Fourth, I will order the Department of Justice or as some people call it the ‘Department of injustice’ right now and Homeland Security to dismantle every gang, street crew, and drug network in America. Every single one of them will be dismantled. We already know where these turf wars and drug dens are. We know who the people are. And we're going to charge them and charge the culprits with every crime that we can find. We're going to be fair, but we're going to be tough. We also need the death penalty for drug dealers, so important. And I'd also add to that human traffickers. Drug dealers and human traffickers. They get the death penalty, watch it stop and stop quickly.

Fifth, in cities where there has been a complete breakdown of law and order, where the fundamental rights of our citizens are being intolerably violated, I will not hesitate to send in federal assets including the National Guard until safety is restored.

If Nancy Pelosi would have accepted our National Guard or our soldiers, you wouldn't have had January 6, but she and the mayor of D.C. didn't do that.

Sixth, we will end the leftist takeover of school discipline and juvenile justice. Many of these carjackers and criminals are 13, 14, and 15 years old. I will order the Education and Justice Departments to overhaul federal standards on disciplining minors. So, when troubled youth are out of control, they're out on the streets and they're going wild, we will stop it. The consequences are swift, certain and strong and they will know that.

Seventh, they will protect the right of self-defense everywhere it is under siege. And I will sign concealed carry reciprocity. Your Second Amendment does not end at the state line. In addition, I will of course fully secure the border, dramatically increase interior enforcement, and wage war on the cartels.

We have never had a border so secure as it was just two years ago. And now our border is the worst anywhere in the world, and possibly of all time. There’s never been a country that allowed to happen what's happening in the United States right now, where millions of people are pouring across our borders. They come from mental institutions. They come from the prisons. They’re all being led out so they can come into the United States. They’re poisoning our country.

We will also take back our streets from the homeless, the drug addicted, and the mentally ill. I will discuss those plans in much more detail very soon. That is how I will bring back public safety to America. I want to thank you. We're going to Make America Great Again and we're going to Make America Safe Again. Thank you.
