Trumps
direct assault on bad federal policy resonated with the voters. We agree with
what he says. We recognize nobody else
was addressing our most serious issues before Trump showed up. He is immune from political correctness
attacks; he kills it like Roundup.
Donald
Trump is attracting all voters who recognize it will take force to turn the
federal government around and save what’s left of the US economy. These voters include independents,
non-voters, minorities, blue collar and disaffected Democrats. The Trump
movement is also supported by Constitutional Populists including Tea Party.
The
voters recognize that the federal government is out of control and is ruining
our economy with excessive immigration, bogus regulations and federal abuse of
citizens.
Constitutional
Populists like Ron Paul started this movement over 30 years ago. Grassroots Conservatives joined the movement
over the decades. The growth in the
number of Independent voters signaled their rejection of both Parties. The Tea Party movement in 2010 added voice to
the disaffection with both Parties. The blocking of Ron Paul’s 30% of delegates
in the 2012 GOP convention and subsequent Republican votes unmasked the “Establishment
GOP” and battle lines were clear. Democrat policies were wrecking the country
and the Republicans were not objecting. Campaign Contribution Bribes for votes
bought Republican votes on Bills. All attempts to stop Obama’s unconstitutional
actions further defined the Republican Congress as Democrat policy enablers.
The fact
that Ted Cruz is running a strong number 2 indicates that voters can support
returning the federal government to compliance with the US Constitution (as
written). Ted Cruz scores 97% on
Conservative Review Scorecard, because he votes NO on all unconstitutional
Bills. Ron Paul’s score was 100%.
Both
Trump and Cruz favor dismantling the most harmful unconstitutional federal
departments, agencies and programs.
Norb
Leahy, Dunwoody GA Tea Party Leader
