US National Security

The biggest threat to our national security is our $20 trillion debt.  It sends the signal that the US really cannot afford to overspend any more in order to fund foreign wars. We should not spend wildly on foreign military aid or other foreign aid or any unnecessary expenditures, but if we were attacked, we would have to defend ourselves.

Trump’s focused military spending will fix our broken equipment and defense systems to show our readiness and to deter any would-be enemies. The destruction of ISIS will continue, but Trump will negotiate with allies to give the financial and military support needed to eradicating ISIS.

There is a difference in actual defense and foreign military aid.  We have failed to protect our borders and failed to control our visa system and are beginning to fail at protecting our shipping lanes as China establishes military bases on islands owned by Japan.

We have squandered $trillions on military foreign aid including the Vietnam War and the wars in the Middle East that left us in deep debt. We need to extricate the US from UN influence and set the responsibility for the wellbeing of foreign countries to their leaders and their citizens.  We need to end all bail-outs.  We need to pay off our own debt.

US leadership should be confined to showing other countries how to manage themselves to benefit their own citizens.
