Reshore Antibiotics 9-4-24

97% of antibiotics used in the US are made in China.

The US needs big pharma to move enough manufacturing back to the US to ensure that we are pharma-independent for critical medications. Trump will use loser Corporate Tax Rates and Import Tariffs to accomplish this.

US Antibiotics is the only US manufacturer of Amoxicillin and Amoxicillin Clavulanate, also known as Amoxil and Augmentin. They've also been producing penicillin-based antibiotics for over 40 years.

Other companies that make antibiotics include: Acurx Pharmaceuticals, Agile Sciences, AiCuris, Akeso Biomedical, Allecra Therapeutics, Apollomics, Ares Genetics, and Arietis Pharma.

In 2022 Antibiotics were the world's 357th most traded product (out of 1,218). In 2022, the top exporters of Antibiotics were China ($4.51B), India ($923M), Italy ($778M), Switzerland ($691M), and Spain ($433M).

Building a new facility or expanding an existing facility to make commercial quantities of medicines requires substantial planning and resources. Building a new facility can cost up to $2 billion and take 5 to 10 years.

Restoring Oil and Gas 9-3-24

Oil and Natural Gas drilling needs to be restored on Federal Land. Pipelines need to be completed to provide safer and cheaper transportation costs. The price of gasoline needs to return to $2 per gallon. This should be achieved by increasing US Oil production by 7 million bbd to reach the 20 million bbd we currently consume. We need to export natural gas to our allies to lower our Trade Deficit.

Thanks to the shale oil boom, the US is now sitting on more oil reserves than Russia, which estimates as having 256 billion barrels of untapped oil. The next-richest countries in terms of oil after that are: Saud Arabia (212 billion), Canada (167 billion), Iran (143 billion) and Brazil (120 billion).

Wind turbines: Wind turbines can convert between 60% and 90% of the energy they harness from wind into usable electrical energy. A single wind turbine can generate the same amount of electricity in kWh compared to thousands of solar panels. Wind power is more efficient, but it is not easy to capitalize on wind power, whereas utilizing solar power is much easier.

Solar panels: The most efficient residential solar panel can convert 20% of energy harnessed from the sun. Typical solar panel efficiencies ranges from 15% to 23% for residential systems while more costly solar panel systems can be as high as 40% to 50%. Monocrystalline solar panels are the most common type and considered to be the best option available, followed by polycrystalline and thin-film solar panels.

Restoring Peace 9-3-24

When we increase oil and gas production in the US, we will lower the global prices. Russia and Iran will have less revenue to engage in terrorism and war. The wars in Ukraine and Israel will stop. We will replace war with total economic isolation of Russia and Iran. Reshoring manufacturing from China will reduce China’s Nominal GDP and end their expansion. This should end their plans to take over Taiwan. China is overleveraged and have overspent. They are the victims of their own tyranny.

Trump has proven that war can be replaced with total economic isolation for bad actors. He will reinstall sanctions on Iran and Russia and increase oil and gas supplies to lower their global costs. This will reduce revenue for Iran and Russia and end their ability to fund wars and terror attacks. Trump will reduce US manufacturing in China by lowering the US corporate tax from 21% and expanding Tariffs on Chinses imports.

China will continue to buy oil and gas from Russia and Iran, but China’s GDP growth will diminish due to lower manufactured product imports to the US.

The US will restore military capability as Trump replaces the current Woke leadership with capable leaders. Trump will propose a missile defense system for the US and use Special Ops to eradicate Drug Cartels from South America. Trump will deport all illegals who entered the country from 2021 to 2024 to restore US jobs in 2025. Trump will end “sanctuary cities and states and end all violent and disruptive protests in the US.

Restoring Logging 9-2-24

The best way to increase logging is to give Federal land back to the States.

We need to increase the production of building materials to lower the cost of construction for single-family starter homes selling in the $200,000 range. The obvious locations for these subdivisions are in the Exurbs of big cities. Currently, we are allowing our forests to burn in our annual forest fire festivals.

These forests need to be given to the States who will sell them to Private Sector individuals and companies who can clean them out and prevent fires from spreading. Forests on the East Coast are owned by individuals and they don’t have forest fire festivals, because they have hoses.

Logging needs to increase supply in order to reduce the cost of lumber. Composite materials should be used wherever the house hits the dirt to prevent rotting.

Renters account for approximately 34% of the U.S. population, with 44 million housing units in the U.S. currently being rented. In the U.S. 17.2 million Millennials rent compared to 9.1 million baby boomers.

67% of adult children live with their parents.

Renting makes absolutely no sense. The best way to build intergenerational wealth is single-family home ownership, where you can ride the inflation cycle and end up receiving your mortgage payments back.

Those who earn a household income of $100,000 or more and have a downpayment of $40,000 should be able to buy a $200,000 home when mortgage rates reach 5%. If these homes can be improved to increase their value, the buyers will build equity. The monthly mortgage is $1057/mo.

A 30-year mortgage at 5% interest will result in doubling the cost of the house. It is important to pay off the mortgage as soon as possible.

Restoring Mining 9-2-24

The US needs to expand mining of “Critical Materials” and “Minerals” to on-shore our needs.

Critical materials for energy (“the electric eighteen”): aluminum, cobalt, copper, dysprosium, electrical steel, fluorine, gallium, iridium, lithium, magnesium, natural graphite, neodymium, nickel, platinum, praseodymium, silicon, silicon carbide and terbium.

Critical minerals: The Secretary of the Interior, acting through the director of the U.S. Geological Survey, published a 2022 final list of critical minerals that includes the following 50 minerals: “Aluminum, antimony, arsenic, barite, beryllium, bismuth, cerium, cesium, chromium, cobalt, dysprosium, erbium, europium, fluorspar, gadolinium, gallium, germanium, graphite, hafnium, holmium, indium, iridium, lanthanum, lithium, lutetium, magnesium, manganese, neodymium, nickel, niobium, palladium, platinum, praseodymium, rhodium, rubidium, ruthenium, samarium, scandium, tantalum, tellurium, terbium, thulium, tin, titanium, tungsten, vanadium, ytterbium, yttrium, zinc, and zirconium.”

www.energy.gov/cmm/what-are-critical-materials-and-critical-minerals#:~:text=

We need to unleash mining of needed materials and minerals to ensure our supply of these elements.

Currently, these mineable elements are held hostage by the US Federal government. We need to produce everything we consume.

The best way to increase mining activity in the US is to give US Federal land back to the States.

Restoring Engineering Jobs 9-1-24

Engineering work is done in Design Cycles that can last from a few months to a few years depending on the problems that need to be overcome. There should be Engineering Jobs in all manufacturing companies.

When US manufacturing was off-shored, the Engineering jobs were also off-shored. Maintaining the design to accommodate the component supply required on-site engineers. Most of this engineering work was done in China and other foreign countries.

I warned my Electronics Company customers that the 50% discounts for circuit boards offered by China in the 2000s would be eaten up by a 12-month learning curve’s impact on failures to pass incoming inspection, returning parts that failed inspection, trips overseas and the loss of intellectual property as Chinese Engineers modified designs. The electronics revolution that began in the 1970s ended with the completion of the PC and Telephony design cycles in the 2000s.

Unfortunately, the CEOs who were running these companies were driving the stock prices up by delivering on record profit margins. This was short-sighted and actually undermined their company’s futures.  Boeing is the latest poster-child for losing control of their engineering and manufacturing processes.

Asia picked up the slack and developed the flat-screen TVs and other innovations. We watched Toyota and Honda take US market share beginning in the 1980s. GM and Ford failed to deliver the quality and fuel efficiency we required as gas prices were rising. Chrysler was bought by Fiat in 2014.

All the engineers who were active in the 1970s have retired by 2020. New Math and Common Core ruined all interest in Math Classes and the number of college students who were proficient at math collapsed.

In 2024 the US had 28,7 million engineers. At the same time, the 20th edition of the State Of the Developer Nation Report suggests that the number of these experts will increase from 24,3 million in 2024 to 45 million employed engineers in 2030. -Jul 22, 2024

6% of US college students are engineering majors. The number of Engineering graduates in the workforce has been growing at a rate of 3.48%, from 4.67M in 2021 to 4.83M in 2022. The largest single share of Engineering graduates go on to work as Software developers (8.83%).

Restoring Electronics 9-1-24

We need Taiwan Semiconductor’s help to develop Chip Manufacturing capability to the US. Taiwan Semiconductor should consider building a manufacturing facility in the US. If China persists in their threat to take over Taiwan, the US should allow Taiwan Semiconductor to move their equipment and workforce to the US. We also need to re-shore US electronics manufacturing to produce everything we consume.

We need to re-shore US appliance manufacturing to produce everything we consume. Our best manufacturing companies were sold to foreign manufacturers. The best we can do now is to settle for having these best companies continue to grow in the US. The best HVAC company the US had was Goodman. Daikin bought Goodman in 2012. Daikin revenue in 2023 was $29.5B. Daikin is a Japanese company.

Daikin-Goodman Manufacturing has manufacturing facilities in Houston, Texas; Dayton, Tennessee; and Fayetteville, Tennessee. Goodman's Daikin Texas Technology Park in Waller, Texas is the largest HVAC building in the United States. The 4.2 million square foot facility houses Goodman's manufacturing, engineering, logistics, and customer support.

The best US company for appliances was GE founded by Thomas Edison in 1889 and became a public company in 1896. They began with electricity and included light bulbs. In 1919, GE created RCA and sold radios. In 1926 GE founded NBC. In 1927 GE created television. GE owned radio stations and TV networks. GE developed supercharged engines used in World War I fighter planes and continued to develop engines for power generation. During World War II, GE became the largest manufacturer of airplane engines. GE developed computers in the 1950s, but sold its computer business to Honeywell in the 1970s.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Electric

The history of GE is a roadmap to bad decisions from betting on Direct Current Electricity and ignoring Alternating Current Electricity.  GE was the first to develop radio, television and computer technologies, but sold these to develop airplane engines. GE made the best ovens and microwaves, dishwashers, refrigerators and other kitchen appliances. They ended up off-shoring all manufacturing and becoming an Appliance Service company.

GE revenue peaked at $182.52B in 2007 and dropped to $62.92B in 2023.

Motorola, Inc. was an American multinational telecommunications company based in Schaumburg, Illinois. It was founded in 1928 as Galvin Manufacturing Corporation by brothers Paul and Joseph Galvin. The company changed its name to Motorola in 1947. After having lost $4.3 billion from 2007 to 2009, Motorola was split into two independent public companies, Motorola Mobility and Motorola Solutions, on January 4, 2011. The reorganization was structured with Motorola Solutions legally succeeding Motorola, Inc., and Motorola Mobility being spun off.

Motorola had pioneered wireless enabling the development of cell phones.

Motorola Solutions' revenue history from 1990 to 2023 is as follows:

  • 1990: $13.1405 billion
  • 1991: $12.4114 billion
  • 1992: $17.2219 billion
  • 1993: $22.24 billion
  • 1994: $27.04 billion
  • 1995: $27.97 billion
  • 1996: $29.79 billion
  • 1997: $31.34 billion
  • 1998: $33.08 billion
  • 1999: $37.35 billion
  • 2000: $30.49 billion
  • 2001: $27.28 billion
  • 2002: $23.16 billion
  • 2003: $29.66 billion
  • 2004: $35.26 billion
  • 2005: $42.88 billion
  • 2006: $36.62 billion
  • 2007: $30.15 billion
  • 2023: $9.978 billion

Motorola was a casualty of Globalism. NAFTA came first in the 1990s and eventually Asia took over global electronics.
