Up,” Makes Senate Work More Efficiently [Video] Posted by: Javier

Florida Congresswoman Ileana
Ros-Lehtinen (R), who is the Chairman of the Middle East and North Africa
Subcommittee, has excited to talk to the SHARK TANK about the recent passage of
her House bill that condemned the terrorist group, and member of the Palestinian
government, Hamas, from using human shields to protect their military assets.
Ros-Lehtinen mentioned that she had
worked with Texas Senator Ted Cruz (R) to craft the legislation, and that Cruz
told Ros-Lehtinen that he would be taking up the Senate version with New York
Senator Kristen Gillibrand (D).
The bill passed in the Senate and it
is now up to President Obama to sign it into law. Ros-Lehtinen says that Obama,
with “flames coming from his hair,” would be hard-pressed not to sign the law,
even though it has that “dastardly” Ted Cruz’s fingerprints all over it.
The unwritten truth about Ted Cruz is that ‘yes,’
people see him as someone who is really shaking things up against the
“establishment,” wanting to get more grassroots, but they don’t know how
successful he is as a legislator. He has actually passed meaningful legislation
in a bipartisan way…”- Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen
Ros-Lehtinen added:
Ted Cruz is actually able to make the Senate work
in a more efficient way and that doesn’t get the play in the press, because
they want to look on him as a bomb-thrower, or a trouble-maker, somebody who
doesn’t work within the system.
He wants to shake things up for sure, but he also
knows how to get things done in the Senate…Flames are going to come out from
Obama’s hair
