If you
count primary votes today versus 4 years ago. Republicans are up 70% up and the
Democrats are down 45%. Trump grew the
party with a populist movement that dwarfs voters’ response to Ronald Reagan’s
campaign in 1980.
Like now,
in 1980 the US was in the “dumper”. We allowed LBJ to go to war in Vietnam and
lost it, launched the War on Poverty and ruined Black families instead, passed
Medicare because the Insurance Companies didn’t want to insure old people and
created inflation that doubled the cost of everything. Democrats joined Republicans and elected
Ronald Reagan.
Republicans
have used the “big tent” excuse for decades, trying to deflect criticism for
their complicity in destroying the Constitution. Now Trump has delivered the “big tent”
results and the GOP Establishment doesn’t know what to do with it. They
criticize Trump for inviting “those Democrats” into the GOP.
There is
nothing wrong with Democrats except that their elected officials are
Marxists. Now they’ve seen the mess we’re
in and went looking for any candidate that told the truth and made sense. Bernie told the truth, but most Democrats
realize that we’re broke and in debt and can’t pay for his new entitlement
plans, so he doesn’t make sense. Donald
told the truth and does make sense, so many Democrats changed Parties to vote
for him.
