Election
2016: They say actions speak louder than
words. But Democrats and the media who lampoon Donald Trump for what he says,
give Hillary Clinton a pass for what she actually does.
Democrats are certainly not alone in
denouncing Trump. Even many Republican leaders and conservative pundits are
quick to distance themselves from the GOP candidate's often outlandish
statements on immigration, free trade and more. On several occasions, this
editorial board has also taken Trump to task for his irresponsible comments and
misguided policies.
But where is the outrage on the left
for Hillary Clinton's long list of corrupt and hypocritical actions as a
so-called 'public servant' who claims she is "working for us'?
FBI:
Hillary Clinton Lied To Us
Democrats are celebrating Clinton's
victory in having the FBI decide not to prosecute her, while ignoring what the investigation into her emails
actually found.
FBI Director James Comey noted that
Clinton:
·
Lied about turning over all her
work-related messages as required.
·
Had classified information on her
private email server, in violation of the law.
·
Lied about why she chose to ignore
State Department policy and use private email.
·
Was "extremely careless"
in exposing national security data to potential hackers.
In declaring Trump unqualified to be
president, Clinton has said "the consequences of his statements are not
only offensive to people but are potentially dangerous."
If that is true, how does it not
follow that Clinton's "extremely careless" actions as
Secretary of State make her even less qualified to be commander-in-chief?
Clinton
Lied About Benghazi
For days after the Benghazi attack,
Hillary Clinton claimed -- and directed UN Ambassador Susan Rice to also state
-- that the terrorist incident was caused by a video. Her own emails and
telephone transcripts prove she was lying.
On the very night of the attack on
the U.S. consulate, Clinton sent an email to her daughter Chelsea, saying
"two of our officers were killed in Benghazi by an Al Qaeda-like
group."
On September 12, the day after the
attack, Clinton spoke with the Egyptian prime minister, telling him "we
know the attack in Libya had nothing to do with the film. It was a planned
attack, not a protest," according to a summary of the call by State
Department Public Affairs Officer Lawrence Randolph.
Yet on September 16 -- two days
after the bodies of the victims were returned to their families in the U.S. --
Clinton had Rice go on five different Sunday shows to still maintain that the
attack was caused by a video.
More
Questionable Actions
The list of dubious acts by Clinton
while in public positions of authority is a long one.
Did Clinton abuse her position as
Secretary of State to raise money for the Clinton Foundation? And why does only
10% of the millions raised by the family foundation actually go to the
charities it claims to support?
How does Clinton's $250,000 fee for
a one-hour speech (plus expenses, including a private jet and presidential
suite) compare to the average CEO pay she deems outrageous?
And, of course, did Clinton really
turn $1,000 into nearly $100,000 trading cattle futures simply by reading the
Wall Street Journal? Just to name a few.
So while Donald Trump is an easy
target for late night jokes, any Clinton supporters with a smidgen of
intellectual honesty should ask themselves a question: Is Donald Trump as crazy
as Hillary Clinton is corrupt?
Comments
Trump has
skillfully crafted his message to “make America great again”. Most voters know what he is talking about and
they know he is right. If Trump is
elected, he will expose the corruption that has been eroding our economy and
our freedom. He will be opposed by the
global Marxists and their cronies who are responsible for our current decline.
So, if opposing them is “crazy”, so be it.
Hillary
should be rejected on her record and her plans. Most voters understand that her
election would be a disaster for the country. If “most voters” show up to vote,
it will not be for Hillary.
