Russia is
a sovereign nation. Russian leaders will either allow their economy to improve
or not. The Baltic States have developed sound economies by expanding their
private sectors. Russia should do the same.
Russia
occupies 6.6 million square miles and is the largest country on the planet.
Their GDP is $2.1 trillion, far lower than it should be given their size and
resources. Their population is 147 million. The Russian economy is dependent on
oil and gas exports.
The
Russian government is a crony infested cabal of insider oil billionaires and
all high government officials. Russia
does not exploit their wealth in natural resources or offer the rule of law to
attract foreign investment. If they
expand their private sector, they can grow their economy and improve the
standard of living for the average Russian citizen. Their great potential is
being stifled by their government just like the US economy is stifled by our
government.

The “cold
warriors” are back to demanding that we reignite the cold war with Russia. This
is not a good idea and is outdated. These guys should be working to defeat the
UN Agenda 21 implementing Communists in our own federal government. The Russian takeover of the Crimea should be
honored if, in fact, the citizens voted to be incorporated by Russia. Russia’s
support of Assad in Syria is also ok.
The
sovereignty of the Ukraine and the other Baltic States is worth supporting. If
Russia interferes with these States, we should issue sanctions. We should be an oil and gas exporter soon and
we could give Russia a lot of problems.
The US
Military needs funds to secure needed spare parts and needs to reform their
operations according to their own needs. We need for the Military to drop all
of Obama’s social engineering policies and limited rules of engagement and
return to the Military we had in 2000.
