The Man God Intended

By Anthony George, 6/3/18, First Baptist Church Atlanta

I am the man God intended when I acknowledge God as my source, the source of my life, the source of my purpose and duties to perform. A sense of purpose is required. God selects our environment. We are rewarded when we seek to follow God’s plan. God will always take care of us when we trust Him. Gratefulness to God is proof that we are thankful. Ingratitude was the first sin.

The man God intended is attentive to family, wife and children. It is normal for men to be attracted to women. God wants us to pick the right partner to bond with for life. God wants us to raise our children to be grateful to God. We are designed to honor our parents, cleave to our wives and love our children.

God intends that a man needs to work and take care of our family and teach our children to work. God intends that we respect our parents, children and others and admit our shortcomings and be able to say “I was wrong” and take responsibility. We are only responsible for our own actions. We should not take the blame for things we haven’t done.

The man God intended is the man who will get back up after he falls. God has a plan for our rescue and repair. Our failures are instructive.
