Facebook started as an internet-centered family picture album. It allowed relatives who were dispersed across several states to keep in touch with each other. In 2011, you could set up your first page and it was not tampered with by Facebook. Later Facebook changed it. I designed my first page to include the Dunwoody GA Tea Party pictures and it was replaced by Facebook. When it added “friends” we saw friends of relatives, then we saw friends of those friends. We would get notices of their messages. It took time to delete these.

We stopped posting on Facebook and later ignored a password notice. We no longer get Facebook notices and we don’t care. We can send pictures in the US Mail. We don’t use I-Phones and still take pictures with a camera and keep them in albums.

Facebook is currently under Congressional scrutiny as it continues to ponder over regulations and are considering making Facebook a “publisher” subject to law suits.

Facebook is unnecessary. It isn’t food, shelter or a car. But advertisers pay them $135B.

All F******k's ever been to me is a Dirty F-Word. Goes back to when they wouldn't let Salman Rushdie use his pen name. I figured they wouldn't let me use mine either, and it's none of their business whether people use screen names or real names.

Some e-friends of e-friends use their products for screen names and avatars. Names like Wetdryvac and Tablesaw don't bother me. Putting people's real names on the Internet does.
