Federal Funding of States 1-15-25

In 2021, the US government provided nearly $1.3 trillion to state and local governments through federal grants. These grants made up a fifth of states’ total revenues, funding healthcare, education, social services, infrastructure, and public safety programs.

Overall, federal aid to state and local governments has risen by over $400 billion since 2019 because of COVID-19's burden on healthcare and social programs.

The five states that received the most federal aid were:

·        California ($162.9 billion)

·        New York ($110.2 billion)

·        Texas ($105.8 billion)

·        Florida ($58.8 billion)

·        Pennsylvania ($57.1 billion)

Colleges and universities are planning to put more than $1.3 billion to work on one-time purchases of equipment as of 4-3-24.

The Los Angeles County Wildfire will affect California’s population count. More Private Sector Corporations may leave California.

California will lose population in 2025, due to the 2025 Los Angeles County Wildfires. Some residents will move to temporary housing in California and bordering States. Some will join family in other States. Some may move out of California permanently.

There is sufficient leverage on States to convince States to end “Sanctuary Cities” and “Student Protests”. The US Federal Government funds 20% of all States’ Budgets. A Federal Law banning States from establishing “Sanctuary States, Counties and Cities needs to be passed by Congress.

A Federal Law banning Private Universities from allowing Campus organizations for Bad Actor countries to be established is needed.

HR2 requires that all employers use E-Verify to report US Citizen Employment vs Non-US Citizen Employment. This will enable States to count US Citizens by State. Federal Law could require the maintenance of these lists by States to ensure that Non-Citizens can’t vote in elections. This could be used to control the number of US House Seats in each State based on the number of US citizens in each House District. The road to US Citizenship includes some time working legally with a Visa that is sponsored by an employer, plus 5 years as a Green Card Holder before they are sworn in as US Citizens.

States compete with each other in the Private Sector Economy and should fund their own education, social services, infrastructure, and public safety programs. All Federal Land should be returned to the States to enable States to provide for their own revenue. Federal Grants should be ended. Federal Loans should be made available for disaster relief. States need incentives to grow their Private Sector GDPs.
