BOOM:
Putin HUMILIATES Obama on “Global Warming” — 2 EPIC Words
(Conservative Tribune) – Say what
you will about Vladimir Putin (although don’t say it too loudly, or else he’s
going to put polonium-210 in your soup), the Russian leader has shown some
flashes of sense of late, most notably in dealing with the Islamic State group
and the Syrian “refugee” crisis.
Putin is at it again, this time
over so-called climate change. He’s been skeptical of a call by the United
Nations to establish a “climate justice” court, and many observers believe that
Putin thinks global warming is “a fraud.”
According to The New York
Times, Putin “has offered only vague and modest pledges of emissions cuts
ahead of December’s U.N. climate summit in Paris,” in contrast to the Obama
administration’s embrace of more drastic measures. Putin critic Stanislav
Belkovsky said that Putin believes “there is no global warming, that this
is a fraud to restrain the industrial development of several countries,
including Russia.”
A draft version of a proposed Paris
agreement includes terms like “climate justice,” “climate finance,”
“technology transfers,” and “climate debt,” according to WND. Most of those are broad
euphemisms for cap-and-trade measures and wealth transfers to third-world
countries, something that’s led many observers to believe the global
warming agenda being pushed in Paris is more economic than environmental.
“Whatever they call it, countries
who sign onto this agreement will be voting to expand the reach of the U.N.
climate bureaucracy, cede national sovereignty, and create a one-way street
along which billions will be redistributed from developed to poor nations,” said
Craig Rucker, president of the Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow.
“Developed nations would be expected
to slash their emissions while the ‘poor’ countries expand theirs. China, which
holds a trillion dollars in U.S. debt, would be counted among the poor.” “President Obama and Secretary of
State Kerry are mired in foreign policy failures,” Rucker added. “They
desperately want to get this agreement signed so they can claim a victory for
their legacies.”
Putin, however, has signaled that he
would be unwilling to subject his country to such a program. That’s what
real leadership is — doing what’s right for your people instead of trying
to push an agenda. It’s sad that when we look for
rational leadership, we have to look to Russia as opposed to the supposed
land of the free.
