3 strikes for the rewrite of NCLB: They struck out the following: 1. teacher judgement 2. interviews with parents 3. developmentally appropriate measures.

What did they insert instead? "Criteria established by the LEA!" The LEA submits plans that have to be approved by the State and the State submits plans that have to be approved by the feds!

The feds are taking the place of the parents, teachers, and developmentally appropriate measures!

We need to close the US Department of Education and leave it to the States and the People.
