Tolerance

Tolerance of “criminal behavior” is no Virtue. Criminal illegal migrants should be deported and denied reentry. Criminals should be banished.

Tolerance of “crazy behavior” is suicidal. Family members who are mentally ill, addicted, violent, disruptive, psychotic or sociopathic need to be banished from the family. They need to be contained in secure facilities.

Tolerance of “bad behavior” is also a bad idea. Misbehavior is also worthy of banishment. This is true with children and other family members regardless of their age.

In the US, freedom has included “freedom of association”, where citizens are free to determine who they hire and do business with. Current anti-discrimination laws impinge in this freedom if bad behavior is in play. Requiring banks to give mortgage loans to unqualified buyers, just because they are minorities caused the 2008 Financial Meltdown as all these mortgage loans defaulted.

We teach our children to not destroy property, hurt themselves or hurt others and shouldn’t let them develop habits and attitudes that make it hard for others to “tolerate” them. If toddlers are out of control, we hug them until they settle down. Parents are responsible for raising their children to develop an attitude of gratefulness, a personal relationship with God and a sense of purpose they discover from their motivated abilities. Children are responsible for heeding their parents’ advice and also need to listen to their “inner voice” to engage their own free will and to make good choices. They need to discover their talents and skills to do what they love. They need to treat others as they wish to be treated and practice the habit of gratefulness.
