In the first 5 months
of 2018, the US imported $1.0212 trillion in goods and services from other
countries. The US also exported $681.6 billion in goods and services to other
countries. Our trade deficit is running $530.4 billion for this first 5 months.
US exports to China in
the first 5 months of 2018 totaled $52.9 billion and US imports from China were
$205.1 billion. The US trade deficit with China was $152.2 billion. Our trade
deficit with China is $152.2 billion. For this first 5 months.
Comments
Some of this uptick is
probably due to corporations loading up on foreign made goods, parts and
materials to buttress against actual tariffs that have been implemented.
