Regime Change

By the 15th Century, Europe had been engaged in finding sea routes to replace the overland trade routes to the Far East.  Europe wanted silk and spice. Dutch merchant ships had blazed the trail around the Southern tip of Africa and into the Far East.  British merchant ships followed.  Spain and Portugal struck off to the American continent.  It became clear that European weapons and ships were superior, so these Europeans were quick to demand respect.  In their quest to stay alive, these indigenous people quickly set up “trade’ with the Europeans.

Commerce and trade were the first causes of engagement with less developed countries, but it was easy for Europeans to push their weight around to gain agreement to make their presence more invasive.  Eventually, these Europeans set up shop in these countries, always accompanied by a cadre of soldiers. Occasional attempts to fight back were dealt with swiftly. Seafaring Europeans were ready to turn these countries into colonies.  This gave them unfettered access to harvesting timber and mining minerals while expanding their tax base.  They became “Empires”.

Commerce continues to dominate governments to use its assets to protect corporations from being taken over by foreign governments and to assist corporations to change foreign government leaders to support their commercial ventures.  The need for oil and gas resources has resulted in turmoil in the Middle East for the past 100 years.

US Regime Change Attempts

Most regime change attempts by the US have failed, particularly those attempted during the Cold War.  Whatever country we saved or tried to save from Communism, eventually was taken over by Communists.  Most of them have since imported some free enterprise in order to stay afloat.  See the long list at:  Covert United States foreign regime change actions http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Covert_United_States_foreign_regime_change_actions

The Ukraine is merely the last failed regime change, but with devastating effect.

“A mere year ago.. Ukraine was a calm and peaceful nation, it had extremely good gas deals with Russia, buying the cheapest gas in Europe, it was about to get a 19 billion dollar loan and it was going to join the Eurasian economic zone.. All was well..

But then the democratically elected president dared to oppose the will of USA. And within months he was overthrown by a violent antidemocratic coup that installed pro-USA Nazis and oligarchs as the new junta government,

the people of Crimea took their chance and seceded while the unconstitutional pro-USA junta was still new in power.. And the Donbas region toke the chance and vote for more self-rule.. At which the pro-USA coup government responded to by sending armed Nazi battalions and forced conscripts.. Starting the Ukrainian civil war.

Now the Ukraine economy is ruined.  20 000+ Ukraine soldiers are dead. Ukraine pays normal gas prices. Ukraine is moments away from default. Ukraine relationship with its brother Russia is ruined. The Donbas region is in revolt and Crimea is lost forever. Even if Donbas was taken back with military violence there would be partisan warfare there forever due to all the acts of terror and genocide committed by the pro-USA forces (Starvation, cluster-bombing, terror)

And now Ukraine is about to lose its biggest source of income, the oil/gas pipelines to Europe.

Ukraine situation has gone from positive to hell in a mere couple of months. Just like the situation in Libya, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, where USA meddled as well.” (Source via Email)
