Real Unemployment is 23%

Townhall Magazine Finance Editor, John Ransom reports that the 7.7% Unemployment figure is not as accurate as the BLS U6 number and does not include those who have given up trying to find a job.  He reports that claims for unemployment actually rose by 20,000 people last week. That’s 362,000 workers who now don’t have jobs. And that’s 7,000 more out-of-work persons than economists had predicted.

There are two other measures of unemployment maintained by BLS.  U6 reports 14.5% Ransom calls a “more accurate” measure and 23% that includes all who gave up trying to find a job.
There are currently 143,322,000 jobs in the U.S.  John recommends ShadowStats.com for accurate numbers.
The government’s claim that unemployment has dropped to 7.7% is as comical as their assertion that inflation is under 3%.
Immigration Impact
The other problems that impact job availability are legal and illegal immigration.  For decades, the Immigration Service has allowed about 150,000 legal immigrants each month to enter the U.S., gave them work visas, welfare support and assistance finding jobs.
At the same time, 150,000 U.S. citizens attempt to enter the workforce and 11 million illegal immigrants remain in the U.S.
The problem is, that the average150,000 jobs created each month largely go to legal and illegal immigrants.
The federal government could reduce legal and illegal immigration to allow more U.S. citizens to have jobs available to them if they wanted to.  Unemployment is an easy problem to solve, but our elected leaders are happy with our current decline that is actually worse than the Great Depression. During the Great Depression in the 1930s, Congress lowered immigration to Zero.  Instead, government currently plans to add 1.8 million legal immigrants each year.
Regulatory Overreach
Regulations affect unemployment.  The EPA is establishing regulations based on junk science.  Carbon is not a pollutant and global warming is a hoax.  Until government admits this and stops imposing unnecessary standards, private sector jobs will continue to decline.  Government agencies are seizing our water and land to bankrupt towns and farms and destroy our food supply.
Government Spending
Government is spending roughly twice what it receives in taxes.  The cost of Obama-care will be paid by cutting jobs for businesses and cutting disposable income for individuals.  The extra $1 trillion a year being printed and spent by government is going to several causes aimed at crashing our economy and enslaving our population. These include excessive foreign aid, implementation of UN Agenda 21, funding of global Marxist non-profit groups, continued funding to make our energy costs double and re-double, continued debasement of the U.S. dollar through money printing and a build-up of Homeland Security to create a Gestapo to encourage us not to resist becoming a Communist country.
