Foreign Trade

What do you have that I want?

Trade requires direct connections. If we have an excess of a product or the capability to expand our production, we want to sell it overseas. If the other country also has more capacity for other products we import, we could reach an agreement. It is a country by country task.

Governors work with businesses to identify what States import and want to export. They target countries who need what we want to export. They all know that consumers make the final decisions. They enter trade agreements based on the probability that the deal would work. They do this on a commodity by commodity basis. If France imports peanuts and they want to sell wine, each country approves its access to its consumers. Once this is approved, ground teams from the business go to the receiving country to set up the distribution. Foreign governments help to train these exporters to comply with their rules.

The EU is a bureaucracy and it’s hard to see what role they would play in setting up these deals in a non-clunky way. They have certainly screwed up the domestic policies of their member countries with idiotic, tyrannical UN-oriented laws.

We export beef to Hong Kong and would like to export beef to China. But China already has unfettered access to US markets. Trump will certainly start to level out our trade imbalance with China by demanding a “this for that” deal on a commodity by commodity basis.

On trade with Cuba, Trump will begin by demanding legitimate elections in exchange for Cuba’s access to US tourists and exports to the US.

US Military Recovery

The US Military has suffered Obama’s excesses in political correctness, VA failures, unsafe rules of engagement, Muslim infiltration, social engineering experiments and his war on Christianity with the dismissal of the Chaplains.

The last low point for the US Military was the Vietnam War (1954-1975) with poor handling by Lyndon Johnson (1963-1968). Johnson should have bombed the snot out of North Vietnam’s military supply depots and supply routes instead of sending more US troops. This war was unpopular with many US voters for lots of reasons.

The Military had its high points after Reagan entered the Whitehouse (1980-1988). The Reagan defense build-up provided a new generation of smart weapons and weapon systems.  The full impact of this work was seen in the first Golf War in 1990 (Desert Storm) on live on CNN. The Soviet Union dissolved in 1991.

The attack of the Twin Towers on 9/11/01 started a new chapter for the US Military with the invasion of Afghanistan 2001-2014. It would have been better to ban all US visas for Muslims and send Special Ops teams to find and kill Osama bin Laden.  We are still in Afghanistan.

The invasion of Iraq began 3/30/03 and Iraq fell on 4/9/03, but a violent, costly occupation lasted for another 6 years. Saddam Hussein was captured 12/31/03 and executed in December 2006.  Maliki became President of Iraq 4/22/06. The US troop surge in 2007 was successful. The US Military leaves Iraq 6/30/09. The National Debt was $5 Trillion in 2000 and grew to $10 Trillion by 2009, largely due to the Afghan and Iraq Wars.

After the 2008 Mortgage Meltdown, Obama began to impose social engineering on the US Military and cut its budget while continuing with a losing situation in Afghanistan. On 5/2/11 Special Ops killed Osama bin Laden who was hiding in Pakistan.

The Arab Spring further destabilized the Middle East and gave rise to ISIS. UN Agenda 21 requires the dissolution of all current nation-states and the Arab Spring provided the opportunity for ISIS to fill the vacuum left by deposed governments. See: Wikipedia below:
The Arab Spring or The Democracy Spring was a revolutionary wave of both violent and non-violent demonstrations, protests, riots, coups and civil wars in the Arab world that began on 17 December 2010 in Tunisia with the Tunisian Revolution, and spread throughout the countries of the Arab League and its surroundings.
Major insurgencies and civil wars in Iraq, Libya, Syria, and Yemen resulted, along with civil uprisings in Bahrain and Egypt, large street demonstrations in Algeria, Iran, Lebanon, Jordan, Kuwait, Morocco, Oman and Sudan and minor protests in Djibouti, Mauritania, the Palestinian territories, Saudi Arabia, Somalia and the Western Sahara. A major slogan of the demonstrators in the Arab world is "the people want to bring down the regime".
The wave of initial revolutions and protests faded by mid-2012, as many Arab Spring demonstrations were met with violent responses from authorities, as well as from pro-government militias and counter-demonstrators. These attacks were answered with violence from protestors in some cases. Large-scale conflicts resulted—the Syrian Civil War, Iraqi insurgency and the following civil war, the Egyptian Crisis and coup, the Libyan Crisis, and the Crisis in Yemen.

Obama’s damage includes an increase in our National Debt from $10 Trillion to $20 Trillion due to UN Agenda 21 implementation and record federal overspending on UN programs.

The election of Donald Trump is yet another chapter in this saga. We expect a repeat of the Reagan years to restore the US economy and undo the damage Obama did to the Military. Our biggest problem will be paying off the National Debt.

Unnecessary Federal Spending $247 billion

Federal Fumbles Report

The report, called “Federal Fumbles: 100 ways the government dropped the ball,” lists $247 billion in what it calls wasteful and inefficient federal spending, as well as offering solutions for the examples.

“The American people have signaled a bold new direction for Washington with the election of President-elect Donald Trump,” Lankford said in a statement. “Although the federal debt wasn’t a major focus during the presidential campaign, it remains a serious impending crisis that must be addressed.

“This ‘Federal Fumbles’ report provides specific examples of wasteful spending and unnecessary regulations that are not in the taxpayer’s best interest, and shows specific solutions for how the federal government can become more efficient,” he said.

Other highlights of wasteful spending include $500,000 for a program that texted people encouraging them not to smoke, and $2 million in misused grants that included $1,000 for customized Snugglies.

The report highlighted the federal government spending almost half a million dollars on the sights, sounds, tastes and smells of the medieval period, with $315,000 spent by the National Science Foundation to study how court rulings make people feel.

The report also found $1 billion was spent on hospitals and infrastructure in Palestine.

The report found that the total federal debt is now over $19.5 trillion and equals about $165,575 per person. It also projects that deficits will increase above $1 trillion within the decade due to America’s aging population, and will be approximately $594 billion in Fiscal 2017.

Lankford also released a similar report last year.

Afrikaner Genocide Continues

How many white refugees did we take from South Africa last month?  by Ann Corcoran 11/29/16

I used to have more time to write about South Africa—the LOL! Rainbow Nation—but haven’t recently.

This artwork came from an article entitled, ’17 Interesting Facts about South Africa.’ Don’t miss number 16! By the way, is that yellow person in the middle supposed to be the white people of South Africa?

However, in light of what I have been writing about today: the FACT that we are picking up Somalis all over the world and bringing them to Anytown, USA, I want to mention this again.

(You can see my archive on South Africa by clicking here.) The joke is that although South Africa is still being touted as the Rainbow Nation that welcomes all races and religions, it is not happy with its fellow black Africans and most particularly the Somalis.  So guess what? We take them! We are bringing them as ‘refugees’ to America from South Africa.  (see the processing country map I’ve been displaying for the last couple of days below). Just like Australia’s unwanted illegal aliens, why are South Africa’s illegal aliens our problem?

This bit of information is buried in a story about Buffalo, NY and the many languages spoken in the school system there.  Remember ‘welcoming’ communities you have a huge expense coming when you set up a resettlement site, but what interested me more than the language issue (discussed frequently on these pages) was this brief mention near the end of the article. Thanks to all who sent the Buffalo News story:

The father is from Somalia. He fled his country and made the risky journey to South Africa. That’s where he met his eventual wife and where his daughters were born, but where the family did not have permanent residency. [What! We thought everyone was welcome in SA?—ed]  So the United Nations sent them to us! So much for the welcoming Rainbow Nation!

See the map for just the month of October 2016.  How many of the 151 who arrived in the US in October are persecuted white South Africans? (Gasp! Politically incorrect question alert!)

I’ve asked this other very sensible question in the past: Once whites are in the minority will the tables be turned and will the UN promote the resettlement of whites into black majority nations (to add some diversity!)?  Hmmmmm?

Who are the 151 ‘refugees’ we admitted from the SAFE country of South Africa last month? I’ll bet the largest numbers are Somalis

Comment

Afrikaner genocide started when Nelson Mandela became President of South Africa in 1994 and it never stopped. Blacks were encouraged to attack white farmers.  Many fled the country, many tried to defend their farms and homes and died. Those remaining constructed fortifications to protect themselves and these homes are still under attack.

Iran Shipping Weapons

ALERT: Iran Using Commercial Aircraft for Terror, 11/29/16

Just when we thought the Iran nuclear deal couldn’t get any worse, we were proven wrong, as a terrifying new plan involving commercial aircraft was uncovered. This is why the Iran deal is so terrible and needs to be undone.

Reportedly the Obama administration gave clearance to Western airline manufacturers to sell planes to Iran. This came on the heels of the discovery, according to the Washington Free Beacon, that the Islamic Republic had been using commercial airliners to smuggle weapons and other illicit goods to Hezbollah terrorists in Lebanon.

The new intelligence that showed Iran has been using its commercial airline company to smuggle weaponry to terrorists operating in Syria has renewed interest in a congressional inquiry that has been hindered by Obama administration officials since October.

Sen. David Perdue and other United States senators have been trying to get Obama administration officials to explain why they are helping Boeing and Airbus, top airline manufacturers, to sell planes to Iran in the wake of clear evidence that Tehran is using its commercial airline to aid in terrorist efforts. These questions have gone unanswered.

The Obama administration approved a second license for Airbus to pursue even more sales with Iran, according to The Wall Street Journal. Some reports have shown that American-made planes are currently being flown by Iran’s air force and that others are being used in its commercial sector to smuggle weapons.

Perdue accused the Obama administration on Wednesday of facilitating Iran’s terrorist operations by signing off on the multi-billion dollar deals to sell Iran planes, according to a letter sent to the Treasury Department.

“While I find your lack of a response to our last letter troubling, I would note that the issue surrounding commercial aircraft usage for illicit purposes by the Iranian regime has now expanded, given new intelligence information alleging that Iran has indeed been using Mahan Air —  a commercial airline that is currently subject to U.S. and U.N. sanctions — to smuggle weapons and ammunition to Hezbollah in Lebanon,” Perdue wrote.

Even more, Israelis reportedly sent an urgent letter that went out to the United Nations Security Council that stated, “These planes fly directly to the airport in Lebanon or Damascus and from there the weapons are transferred on the ground to Hezbollah.”

Perdue continued in his letter, “This report confirms precisely the fear we expressed in our Oct. 6 letter: that Iran continues to use commercial aircraft to smuggle weapons and ammunition in violation of U.N. Security Council Resolution 2231 to support its terrorist proxies.”

He admonished the department further, saying, “We are rightly concerned that Iran may continue to do so with the new commercial aircraft it purchases from Boeing and Airbus, as permitted by the U.S. Treasury Department.”
We should all be very concerned.

Soros Targets Refugee Support

Laugh of the day: see what Soros is spending money on to help refugees, by Ann Corcoran 11/29/16

I have much more to say about the subject of Refugee Resettlement as a business opportunity (with humanitarianism as the cover for those with a financial interest) for another day. However, I came across a list of companies working to benefit refugees and got a chuckle out of the write-up on Soros, here.

Soros Fund Management pledges to invest up to $500 million in companies leveraging their resources and ingenuity to aid refugees worldwide, doubling down on the premise that the private sector can lead global change.

These investments will target startups, established companies, and social impact initiatives, including businesses started by refugees themselves. While investments will cross a variety of sectors, Soros sees particular potential for emerging digital technologies to help refugees gain access more efficiently to government, legal, financial, and health services, thereby improving the quality of life of millions around the world.

Translation: Soros wants to be sure the refugees have ready access to “services” (aka welfare) = your money!

I don’t understand why these globalists are never concerned about American/European poor people!

Second Generation Muslims

8 BLOODY TERROR ATTACKS IN U.S. IN 18 MONTHS HAVE 1 THING IN COMMON, Media fail to connect dots: 'They're willfully lying to the public', by Leo Hohmann, 11/30/16

When Abdul Ali Artan tried to run over a crowd of helpless students at Ohio State University, then got out of his car and slashed as many as he could with a butcher knife, media titans CNN, CBS and NBC treated it as an isolated incident.

Law enforcement, from the local level on up to the FBI, said they did not know what could have motivated the young Muslim student to act in such a premeditated, violent way against his fellow students on a chilly Tuesday morning in Columbus.

Artan, an 18-year-old freshman at OSU, had immigrated from his native Somalia through Pakistan, arriving in Columbus at the invitation of the U.S. government, which considered him a “refugee.”

But the media failed to connect any of the dots with a host of similar attacks on U.S. soil, let alone the even larger number of strikingly similar attacks in Europe committed by migrants from Muslim countries in the Middle East and Africa.

News outlets also failed to report that Columbus is America’s second-largest distribution point for Somali refugees after Minneapolis.

A simple perusal of some very recent history, roughly the previous 17 or 18 months, would have turned up the following incidents:

1. Chattanooga shooting: 24-year-old Muhammad Abdulaziz offers up mass shooting at Navy recruitment center, leaving five U.S. servicemen dead in July 2015.
2. University of California at Merced knife attack: 18-year-old student Faisal Mohammad slashes students, teacher in November 2015, four wounded.
3. San Bernardino shooting: Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik attack office Christmas party, leaving 14 dead and several wounded in December 2015.
4. Orlando gay nightclub shooting: Omar Mateen on June 12, 2016, left 49 dead, 53 wounded.
5. Nazareth Mediterranean Restaurant knife attack: Mohamed Barry slashes diners in Columbus, Ohio, with machete in February 2016, four wounded.
6. St. Cloud Crossroads mall knife attack: Dahir Ahmad Adan seeks out non-Muslim shoppers with military-style knife on Sept. 17, 2016, 10 wounded.
7. Chelsea Manhattan bombing: Ahmad Rahimi plants pipe bombs that go off on Sept. 17, 29 wounded.
8. Ohio State knife/car attack: Abdul Ali Artan, rams his car into crowd of students, slashes them with butcher knife, 11 wounded, on Nov. 28.
A little further back, in 2013, the Boston Marathon bombing by the Tsarnaev brothers left three dead and more than 300 injured.

The one common denominator of all nine attacks is that each was carried out by Muslim immigrants or sons of Muslim immigrants.

And the last four attacks on the list – the knife attack at the restaurant in Columbus, the knife attack at the mall in St. Cloud, the bombing in Manhattan and the knife attack at OSU – were all carried out by Muslims who came to America through the United Nations refugee resettlement program overseen by the U.S. State Department. Three of the four used knives, a key component of global Islamic terror inspired by multiple verses in the Quran.

One of the primary responsibilities of any reputable journalist is to not only report the news of the day, but to report it in context. It is only through context that the consumers of the journalistic product can receive a full understanding of the events happening in the world around them. There was none of that going on Tuesday when the news broke of a knife attack on the campus of Ohio State. Not even the most-recent Muslim knife attack, carried out two months earlier by another Somali refugee in St. Cloud, was mentioned in connection with the Ohio story.

Why so little context? Why so little information about the refugee program and its recent failures to screen out bad apples? Why do mainstream media, along with U.S. law enforcement, provide cover for the U.S. immigration system and the refugee program in particular?

The answer is clear, say several experts who follow the refugee program.

Keeping Americans in the dark
“Law enforcement and the media want to keep Americans in the dark about this threat,” says Pamela Geller, president of the American Defense Initiative who blogs at the Geller Report and authored the book “Stop the Islamization of America.”

“Law enforcement claims it’s to protect Muslims from a ‘backlash’ that never materializes,” Geller told WND. “The media is committed to dissembling about this threat.”
Geller revealed in an article several years ago that the Society of Professional Journalists has guidelines telling journalists never to associate Muslims or Islam with terrorism.

“They’re willfully lying to the public,” she said. “They seem to be committed to a globalist multiculturalist agenda that involves bringing large numbers of Muslims into the country,” Geller added. “Connecting the dots would wake too many people up to what is happening.”

Perhaps most disappointing is the failure of Christian pastors and teachers to give any concrete, accurate information to their church flocks about what Islam teaches from the Quran and other Islamic texts. “They have been indoctrinated with the idea that it would be ‘racist’ to do so,” Geller says.

Robert Spencer, who edits the JihadWarch blog for the David Horowitz Freedom Center and has authored several best-selling books, including “The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam and the Crusades,” said he believes U.S. law enforcement takes its cue from the Obama administration.

“And they are committed as a matter of policy to denying that there is any jihad threat at all,” Spencer said. “With each attack, they explain it away and defend Islam. They claim it will alienate moderate Muslims if we speak about the motivating ideology behind this threat; they never explain why they think moderate Muslims would be offended by discussing understandings of Islam that they ostensibly reject.”

Fitna: The root of modern ‘Islamophobia’
Phil Haney, co-author of “See Something Say Nothing,” tracked the OSU story from the time it started breaking Tuesday morning.

“Underneath all this hand-wringing about why did he do it, he already said why he did it,” Haney told WND. “On his Facebook page he said he’s sick and tired of Muslims being killed in different parts of world, and that is fitna. It always comes back to fitna.” “Fitna” is an Arabic term used in the Quran to describe a yoke of oppression, a trial or an injustice thrust upon the Muslim believers by the non-believers. The modern word for a fitna would be “Islamophobia.”

By continuing the politically correct policy of avoiding the issue behind each new terror attack, the mainstream media enable the Muslim leaders to further their teaching of young Muslims to feel like they are part of a persecuted minority in America.

“Islamophobia” has become such a prevalent theme, widely taught within the American Muslim community today, that we can expect more backlash from angry Muslims who have had their minds poisoned by this indoctrination, Haney says.

“This stifling emphasis dominates the mindset of American Muslims, and their social-political allies [on the left], and it prevents us from honestly and courageously addressing the true nature of a global ideology that aggressively promotes its agenda of supremacy,” Haney said.

“Anyone who attempts to move beyond the ‘Islamophobia’ mantra is reflexively labeled as a bigoted racist,” he added, “while the Muslim community enjoys immunity from any responsibility for its communal actions.”

Ohio Somali Slasher

Sigh! So another Somali refugee goes on a rampage inspired by his ‘faith’, by Ann Corcoran 11/29/16

Update: More from Michael Patrick Leahy at Breitbart, here.

Yesterday when I first heard the news that a knife and a car were involved in the Ohio State rampage, I knew it was going to turn out to be an Islam-inspired terror attack.  I had other duties yesterday afternoon and figured you didn’t need me to report since there would be so many springing to action and cable news would eventually report on who the perp was.

With the St. Cloud mall stabbing fresh on our minds, it was not an earth shattering revelation when we learned later in the day that the jihadist was a Somali refugee.  And, it is actually very funny this morning to hear CNN report that there is still no declaration that the Somali Muslim was inspired by his ‘faith.’

(For new readers, see a post we wrote here (at the time of the St. Cloud Somali terror attack) listing the numbers of Somalis admitted to the US in 3 decades. See this post from 2008 where I first began to chronicle the Somali numbers. Some of that data came from
Wrapsnet.org (now unavailable). Earlier numbers came from a slow process of analyzing ORR annual reports to Congress.)

And, if I am not too excited by this latest news from Ohio maybe it’s because I wrote my first post about Somali refugee “youths” (many of whom we raised since small children with our tax dollars) turning to the ‘religion of peace’ to become jihadists 8 years ago!  (Check this out, I wrote that first post on November 26th, 2008—almost to the day 8 years ago.)

So tell me (everyone yakking about vetting!), how are we going to screen the Muslim kids who become radicalized in your town?

BTW, we have written a lot about Columbus, OH, a Somali resettlement city, second only to Little Mogadishu (Minneapolis), see our Columbus archive.

Now to yesterday’s attack in Ohio: Here is Leo Hohmann at World Net Daily on the Somali Islamic terror attack yesterday.  If the news is true about his family’s sojourn in Pakistan then it confirms a point I have been trying to make for a long time—we are picking up Somalis and other Muslim refugees around the world and thus ‘vetting’ is almost impossible!

The Somali refugee who stabbed Ohio State University students with a butcher knife Monday praised a well-known al-Qaida terrorist on his Facebook page minutes before his attack, yet authorities say they are not ready to assign a motive.

Police shot and killed the man as he was attacking students outside a science building. Eleven people were transported to area hospitals with various injuries, according to the Columbus, Ohio, fire department.

The dead attacker was reportedly an Ohio State student – an 18-year-old Somali refugee named Abdul Razak Ali Artan, who left Somalia with his family for Pakistan in 2007 and obtained a green card to enter the U.S. in 2014. He reportedly lived near campus, CNBC News reported. On his Facebook page, Artan posted a rant about attacks on Muslims.

Appearing three minutes before the beginning of the rampage, the post reads: “I can’t take it anymore. America! Stop interfering with other countries, especially the Muslim Ummah. We are not weak. We are not weak, remember that.”

The post also praised Anwar Al-Awlaki, a radical American-born al-Qaida cleric, describing him as a “hero.” Continue reading here.

Let’s talk about this Pakistan connection (assuming that information is correct)! We know using data that is available at Wraps.net that we are processing in to the US ‘refugees’ from Pakistan, but a large number  are not Pakistanis.  And, I have been for years trying to make the point that when a supposed legitimate asylum seeker (like a Somali who claims to be somehow persecuted) arrives in a country such as Malta, Malaysia, Australia, or Pakistan that those so-called ‘refugees’ are not our problem! Those are safe countries where the migrant should be asking for asylum. (Unless, of course, if he or she is a Christian arriving in Pakistan!)

We have seen the most clear case of how outrageous a process this is with the Australia deal just in the last few weeks.

Think about this, in the case of Pakistan, a Muslim country, why are they sending us Somalis and why are we accepting them?  You know they are being processed in to your towns through the UNHCR office in Pakistan. Can we count on an honest screening process there, apparently not, or we wouldn’t have the Ohio State slasher attack yesterday.

Go to the map (it is only for last month) I posted on Sunday that is available at Wraps.net.  It is a processing country map and see that in the month of October we took in 97 ‘refugees’ through Pakistan.

Then you go to this map which lists the ‘nationalities’ admitted in October and you can see that 60 of the 97 were Pakistanis (I sure hope they were all Christians!).  Who are the 37 others (who told the UN they would be persecuted if sent home) that we admitted via the UN through Pakistan in October?  Somalis like this Ohio slasher’s family? You can bet some are Afghans, but who knows?  We don’t.  The US State Department knows, but the public doesn’t. Where is Congress?

The point I am making is that while we yak about screening Syrians, all over the world we are taking illegal aliens (with virtually no paperwork) who arrived in some safe (for them) country and transform them in to ‘refugees’ to be placed in your towns and supported on your taxpayers’ dime!
Endnote: I am planning a post soon to counter the lies being told by refugee contractors arriving in new potential resettlement sites where they tell the community that no refugees in America have been involved (or have planned) Islamic terror attacks.
