Jobs vs. Welfare

The US has a population of 320 million. There are 204 million working age (16-64). 59.7% of these 204 million have jobs. 122 million have jobs. By subtraction, 82 million do not have jobs, but I’ve seen this number quoted from 94 million to 104 million. Finally, we killed 58.5 million babies in the US since 1973.

We have added 60 million immigrants in the last 40 years. US immigration doubled in 1989 and kept redoubling.

In 1993, we passed NAFTA to off-shore most of our manufacturing jobs.  US household income dropped by $5000 per year.

We’ve added and average of 1.8 million jobs in the US each year.  We graduate 1.8 million students each year.  We import 1.8 million immigrants per year.

We have 52 million on some form of welfare.

$19 trillion has been spent on anti-poverty programs since the mid-1960s and that “we have 10 times more people on welfare.” More generally, he also said that there are more people living in poverty. - Ben Carson

51 percent of immigrant-headed households (legal and illegal) use at least one federal welfare program, compared to 30 percent of native households.1

"Welfare" refers to means-tested anti-poverty programs. These include direct cash assistance in the form of Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF); food aid such as free school lunch, the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) nutrition program, and food stamps; Medicaid; and housing assistance in the form of rent subsidies and public housing. Not included are social insurance programs for which participants must generally pay into the system before drawing benefits, such as Social Security and Medicare.

In order to cut our welfare costs, we need to greatly increase jobs and US productivity, secure the border, return all refugees to their home countries, deport criminal illegals and place productive illegals at the back of the line for legal status.

Cutting welfare benefits for refugees and immigrants will send a signal that they can’t stay here for free.  Banning Sharia law will send a message to Muslims that they should get ready to assimilate or move back to a Muslim country.
