It’s
maddening to watch the Mayor of New York and the Chief of the LAPD get on TV
and say that they will fight ending sanctuary cities because their police won’t
be able to find out from the citizens who committed the crime, because the
citizens will stop talking to them.
But
deporting criminals could thin the herd. It sounds like the police are looking
for job security, because the more criminals you have on your beat means you
will have more crimes to solve.
We’ve
spent so much time in the Middle East, we’re starting to think tribal.
