Meritocracy

The US was created to be a meritocracy, a system in which the talented are chosen and moved ahead on the basis of their achievement. What we escaped was a Monarchy.

The US was designed so that the private sector owned the country. The majority of voters in the sovereign States controlled the outcome of elections.

We now have the technology we need to return to a meritocracy, if we can reduce subsidies and regulations to the point that the wealthy lose their incentive to control the legislature. The “rule of law” should return to require “equal treatment”.

Individuals would be free to pursue their chosen occupations to the extent to which they could prove their competency in an uncorrupt educational system.

This requires that families return to being the basic economic unit in the US. Inheritance tax should be abolished to give families a chance to retain family businesses and build wealth. Families would need to take care of their own.

The mayhem we endured in settling the US and mechanizing our agriculture in the 1800s ended. There is no reason we can’t impose peaceful productivity in the US for the next 100 years and beyond. We simply need to remove the corruption from government, repeal bad laws, pay off our national debt and continue to develop improvements in our technology within the private sector.

The only immigration we should accept is the acceptance of legal applications from the best and brightest immigrants on the planet, just like we used to. The only hope for the rest of the world is to copy us. We need to send all other immigrants and refugees back to their home countries.
