Catch 22 for Republicans

Republicans rightfully want to pull back Federal spending, overreach in regulations and the tyranny being imposed by the Democrats.  Some are “progressive” Republicans who helped put us in this spot.  What spot ?

Money printing so far has resulted in a 350% increase in the money supply.  All that is propping up the stock market is Federal Reserve money printing.  Obama wants to keep printing and spending to install his “big government” schemes and knows Republicans don’t want to be blamed for a stock market decline. This “catch 22” has kept Republicans from making the case for an effective economic recovery.

The Federal Reserve has announced that they will “eventually” and gradually reduce the printed money held by the big banks. They are waiting for an economic recovery Democrats would never allow.  Democrats want to increase the size of the Federal government and convince voters to accept the decline of our standard of living to show how clever they are.

With Federal Revenue at $3 trillion a year and Federal spending at $3.7 trillion a year, we could cut $700 billion in spending and never notice it, but the Democrats would fight like hell to keep the spending rising.

Republicans know that roll-backs in taxes and regulations will be needed to bring manufacturing jobs back to the US. Democrats dislike oil and gas production increases, our best hope to begin to increase jobs.  Some Republicans don’t understand that our current, excessive legal immigration policies need to be pared back to make more jobs available to citizens.

Our economy is declining and Republicans need to agree on what cuts would actually help the economy and make their case. They will need to increase the eligibility age for Social Security and Medicare.

Obama is counting on ignorant and gutless voters’ failure to figure out he is killing our economy on purpose and holding voters and Republicans hostage. If Republicans can cut spending enough to balance the budget and have a plan to shrink the Federal government further, private investment will increase.  Political considerations need to be ignored. Environmental Nut-jobs, Communists and criminals will object to reforms that involve closing federal departments and agencies and giving unconstitutional functions to the States and the People.  If we don’t do this, the problems will never end.
