RINO Attack

Paul Ryan and Kevin McCarthy work to defeat conservatives.

Republican leaders in the House are now working against three conservative candidates who should have their support.

First, House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) is trying to sink conservative Congressman Tim Huelskamp (R-KS) in his August 2nd primary election.

Ryan promised the House Freedom Caucus that he would support putting Huelskamp back on the House Agriculture committee after former House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) had him kicked off.

But now that Huelskamp has a liberal primary challenger, Ryan won't keep his promise. Instead, he's refusing to back Huelskamp's bid to rejoin the committee as a way to undermine him with voters in Kansas.

Punishing conservatives for standing on principle was what sparked the backlash against John Boehner that ultimately forced him to resign. Does Paul Ryan really want to go down the same road?

Unfortunately, there's more. A super PAC with ties to Speaker Ryan just launched a six-figure TV ad campaign attacking Congressman Huelskamp for voting against the budget-busting farm bill. The ad also criticizes him for getting kicked off the Agriculture committee, which of course was the result of him doing the right thing.

Speaker Ryan is trying to pretend that he's neutral in the race and has nothing to do with any of this, but who is he kidding? His fingerprints are all over this. And the truth is that Paul Ryan should not even be neutral on this; he should be vocally supporting Congressman Huelskamp in this race.

SCF pays all processing fees so Huelskamp can spend 100% of your donation contacting voters about his conservative record.

MCCARTHY RAISES FOR RINOS

Unfortunately, the leadership's efforts to defeat conservative candidates is not limited to the race in Kansas.

House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) recently held secret fundraisers for Drew Ferguson (R-GA) and Neal Dunn (R-FL) who are running against Mike Crane (R-GA) and Mary Thomas (R-FL) respectively.

POLITICO explained the action as a targeted effort to stop conservatives. "Taken together, the fundraisers indicate that McCarthy is working to prevent the restive members who ousted Speaker John Boehner from gaining more influence within the House GOP in the next Congress," POLITICO reported.

House leaders don't want conservatives in the House Freedom Caucus to gain reinforcements who will hold Washington accountable. Instead, they want more yes-men who will support their liberal deals with the Democrats.

Just look at the records of the candidates they're supporting.
As mayor, Drew Ferguson supported millions in new debt and supported higher taxes and fees on Georgia businesses and families. And Neal Dunn lobbied for a group that supported Obamacare and gave money to liberals like Charlie Crist (D-FL) and Bill Nelson (D-FL).

These candidates can win their primary elections and hold the GOP establishment accountable, but they need your help.
