Social Security Reform

US Population by Age

0-18    25%    81.3 million
19-34  22%    71.5 million
35-54  26%    84.5 million
55-64  13%    42.3 million
65+     15%    48.8 million

Total  325 million,%22sort%22:%22asc%22%7D

We should be able to continue Social Security for the over age 65 group, but we may have problems in 10 years, when to 35-54 year olds approach age 65.

To end this Ponzi scheme, we should privatize this system to allow participants to invest their own account balances and earn interest.  This would result in a double hit to government as they continue to pay off old participants, while not receiving new participant payments.
