T-SPLOST is A Bail-out

But this time YOU get to pay for it out of your own pocked

The Bail-outs

Banks and financial institutions had committed fraud in selling worthless, bundled mortgage-based securities.  We objected to bailing out these institutions, but it happened anyway.
Then we objected to the $800 billion Obama stimulus package to benefit state and local government employee unions, but it passed.

Then we objected to the extra trillion a year the federal government keeps spending on UN Agenda 21 implementation and Obama’s political supporters, but it continues.

The bail-outs can still happen under the Dodd/Frank law and the Stimulus has been trashed as payback to unions and  political supporters and discredited with fraud and waste, but it continues.

The bail-out money was printed and borrowed and we will pay for it with inflation for a long time.

Now Comes the T-SPLOST

Georgia state government failed to maintain and expand roads despite growth in our cities and counties, yet it allowed poor management of the GDOT, MARTA and other government entities and played down the growing gridlock and decay.

To get federal DOT money, states had to join in the one-way stimulus scam and try to trick voters into paying for this next round of government bail-outs out of their own pockets.

Those Who Benefit

Yes, it’s still the unions and government employees and the Agenda 21 implementing planners who stand to gain from our hard-earned bail-out money.  The union rates mandated by the Davis-Bacon Act for highway maintenance and modification supports Obama’s political objectives.  The public transit infrastructure supports Obama’s UN Agenda 21 implementation plan.  The expansion of public transit creates more union, government jobs at a time when we should be cutting government spending in half.

Expensive Hoax

We must not fall for this scam.  It’s based on the global warming hoax that gave birth to the “green” scam.  We can do better than this.

Public Transit
The most expensive, most underutilized form of transportation continues to be public transit.  We have enough empty trains and buses.

Private bus service works, so government should get out of the bus service business completely.

MARTA is a creature belonging to DeKalb, Fulton and the City of Atlanta and should remain so.  It should sell the bus service to a private company.  Surrounding counties should also switch to private bus service.

Here are the facts of Region 3 TSPLOST, as presented in the "final project list":

THINK about how many of these projects will help "untie" (or NOT) the traffic knot:
Note: numbers are rounded

Summary:
TOTAL: $6.1 BILLION
1) $2.90 BILLION for "roadways"
2) $3.16 BILLION for "transit"

$3.16 BILLION for "Transit" breaks out this way:
1) $3.2 million for updates to a Cobb County airport
2) $24.1 million for bike paths
3) $1.23 BILLION for MARTA repairs & upgrades (tracks, elevators, lighting, signals, etc.)
4) $37 million to extend MARTA from Northsprings station to Holcomb Bridge Road (approx. 7
miles)
5) $95 million for GRTA bus service
6) $382 million for other bus service
7) $602 million for Atlanta streetcars
8) $700 million for DESIGN of new rail service "Lindbergh Center to Emory / Centers for Disease Control"
9) $95 million for DESIGN of "I-85 north corridor" rail
10) $20 million for rail - Atlanta to Griffin

These are the facts.
