Let it be
known the day of elephant intimidation is over!
(Steve Eichler) – The attack on the
Tea Party has been cruel and malicious [i] but now the attacks are coming from people we believed were
Patriots.
In recent days, Speaker of the House
John Boehner [ii] along with other Republicans have openly scorned and attacked
the Tea Party without provocation. They trumpet claims that they are going to
wage war against the biggest overnight success in American politics, a behemoth
movement extraordinaire. Even the National Chamber of Commerce jumped on the
“Kill the Tea Party” bandwagon. We have to wonder why the Chamber would do this
considering that more than thirty percent of Tea Party members are
self-employed business owners.
The Tea Party has heard this
revolting rhetoric before but typically it spews forth from progressive
liberals who are dead set against anyone challenging their plans to install
their socialist agenda and destroy the Constitution. It is becoming obvious the
Republican Party sees those who love the Constitution, embrace American exceptionalism
and publicly pledge allegiance to the flag as a danger and in opposition to the
bloated elephant party.
However, while not all the members
of the Tea Party are Republicans, a large portion of them are which begs the
question: who will tens of millions of Tea Party members donate their money to?
Will tens of millions of Tea Party
loyalists give to those who have declared war against the Tea Party [iii]?Soon the pompous elephant will come courting, begging for donations, trying desperately to lure donors back into the Republican stockyard. However, their conceit has festered and turned rancid as donation dollars ice over.
Ask yourself: where are the tens of
millions of Tea Party members going to send their money to over the next few
months? Will they send their financial support to an insulting and belittling
sick elephant—or to grassroots Tea Parties with beliefs and convictions that
mirror their own and to those where their neighbors, friends and loved ones are
fully engaged?
Let it be known the day of elephant
intimidation is over.
If the Republican Party continues on
their poisonous and vengeful path, the lack of fundraising will stunt their
growth. Hunger for donation dollars will begin to ripple across the country.
Their bank accounts could become barren, stripped of donations as panic and
financial famine sweep across the Republican Party. The GOP will feel weak and
poor, suffocated and cut off from the core of their constituents.
It seems the Republican Party is
hell-bent on self-destruction. Their path of destruction can be avoided, but
it’s going to take a strong dose of tea.
As the Republican Party chokes on
their own self-importance they will wonder why they have such a lack of
nourishment flowing into their coffers. They will become impoverished and
deprived of the very substance they need to sustain their lofty dreams of
owning the White House, the Senate and the House of Representatives.
The Tea Party, while only a few
years old, has risen from a handful of devoted Americans into tens of millions
of loyalists of all colors, religions, political persuasions and lifestyles—all
uniting under a common theme for the protection of the Constitution and
American exceptionalism.
There are conservative organizations
that continue to grow fat and pudgy, stout on their lucrative and rich
donations coming from Patriots who have grown financially portly on the free
enterprise system. Tens of millions of Tea Party members will no longer listen
to the cry of the hungry Republicans scratching at their doors, begging for
their support—even a crumb. The Tea Party loyalist base has grown far beyond
the imagination of even most enlightened Washington Pharisees. [iv]
Democrats hate the idea of a
successful movement such as the Tea Party that they cannot control. Republicans
are livid over the notion conservatives can swell up from their own ranks and
do a better job of empowering the core of America.
One of the brightest lights in the
Tea Party movement is www.teaparty.org.
Reaching millions of Tea Party loyalists, they’ve quietly been building for
years in breadth and depth. As a matter fact, just one of the Teaparty.org
websites has over 38,000 active bloggers. Can any Republican cluster say that?
When one adds up all of the Tea
Parties, in all of the villages, towns and cities across the United States,
from coast-to-coast, from Alaska to Florida, from Vermont to Hawaii, how can
anyone possibly believe the Tea Party is a flash in the pan and not a gigantic
movement reaching down to the very core of the American people?
Why the hell would the Republican
Party declare war on the very people they need if they ever want to win again?
The Republican Party should be embracing the rank-and-file of this homegrown
phenomenon; instead they politically urinate on the idea of the Tea Party.
I ask: will the Republican Party
damn itself to a Humpty Dumpty existence? Today’s version of the familiar old
rhyme goes like this: “Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall, Humpty Dumpty had a great
fall, all the Washington men and all the Washington women couldn’t put Humpty
Dumpty together again.”
The Tea Party does not want Humpty
Dumpty to have a great fall, nor die from starvation; however, we are warning
the GOP they are on the path to grand and wicked self-destruction.
The Tea Party will survive, but can
the same be said of the Republican Party?
