BUSTED: Here’s Proof That the Mizzou Protesters Are The REAL Racists, Written by Wes Walker on November 12, 2015
Things were a lot easier when the
people championing change had clear objectives. The emancipation of American slaves?
That was another clear objective. An end to segregation, so people could be
judged “by the content of their character”? Hard to imagine objectives more
clear than these.
But in Mizzou? What a mess. The more you
see of this debacle, the more asinine the demands for “justice” seem.
Let’s wind the tape back a bit. It
all started when some drunk in a truck yelled obscenities at somebody. In some
towns, that’s called “Friday Night”. And then — shocker — the drunk’s
obscenities were politically insensitive. (Read: drunk)
This became a protest against privilege
with a hunger strike by some guy whose family was worth about $20M. (You can’t
even make up stuff like this.)
There was suppression of free speech by
an alleged Journalism prof (now fired), a demands list, the firing/ resignation
of Tim Wolfe for the nothing that he didn’t do fast enough. There’s a story about campus security accepting formal complaints about
“hurtful speech”, a snitch line, and instructions about taking license plate
numbers. And we’re not even up to the crazy part yet. Ok, well maybe we
are, but it gets much worse. What was the complaint around? Racism? Right, hold
that thought.
Now, based on the story so far,
“Concerned Student 1950” would meet every definition of a “Progressive”
movement. Is that fair to say?
Because what happens next says a great
deal about the alleged moral superiority of Progressive movements. At this
point in the drama, (Nov 11) the mass of people split into smaller “breakout
groups”. One of the activists tweeted an explanation: “They were asking white
allies to leave.” (Note the word “allies”, meaning those who identify with CS
1950)
But in fairness, I should let them give
their reasons for selecting one group based solely on the color of their skin
(not their character) and excluding them from participation, even after
standing shoulder to shoulder for “the cause”.
As reported:
Prominent Black Lives Matter activist Johnetta Elzie seemingly confirmed those with Caucasian skin were asked to leave the area, tweeting that the group had created a “black only healing space for the students to share, decompress, be vulnerable & real.”

So what we have learned here is that a
racially-charged pressure-group grabs national headlines to publicly chide a
faculty member for allegedly failing defend the rights of black students can
turn right around and eject white people from their assembly. And does the
media notice any irony?
Black only healing space? Seriously?
Back in the mid-20th Century, the Civil Rights effort was to eliminate racial segregation.
As an outside observer, I’m scratching my head to understand how exclusion of a group for their skin color is at all consistent with those great victories of the Civil Rights era. When I consider this turnaround, the only word that comes to mind is, well, “Regressive”.
