Assimilation

In the US, we had good luck assimilating immigrants especially from Europe.  Families were typically “sponsored” by relatives.  The new immigrants would live with these relatives until they got jobs and were able to get their own apartments nearby.

New York and other large cities had ethnic neighborhoods.  There were Italians, Irish, Puerto Ricans, Poles, Jews and others.  Their kids went to school together and made friends with other nationalities.  This first generation grew up as Americans.  Their parents came to America for many reasons and felt blessed to be here.  Many opened businesses and ethnic restaurants. These immigrant families shared a Judeo-Christian background compatible with our founding documents.  America was a country built just for them. The early immigrants settled the West and included farmers and livestock ranchers from Germany and Scandinavia.  First generation American kids felt free to marry outside of their ethnic backgrounds.  Many from South America and Canada have found a home here.

Christians included multiple denominations and some limited their assimilation like the Amish, but that didn’t anybody.  Tourists love to visit Amish country in Ohio to see them get around in their horse & buggy rigs and buy the things they make.  The Mormons kept to themselves in Utah and gave up polygamy to comply with US law.

Slaves from Africa came to America, were freed and still live in Black neighborhoods by choice.  They have been assimilating a long time and do well in a real free market economy.

Other immigrants came from other cultures and religions, but assimilated just the same.  They too settled with relatives and stayed in the same neighborhoods.  Many large cities had a “China Town”.  Hindus and Buddhists and others have no problem here.

Now all of these groups roam freely across America.  They have been free to associate and do what they like.  They all thrive in homogenous groups.  Most thrive and are accepted in neighborhoods of their own choice.

These citizens with many backgrounds are generally accepting of American culture and our free market economy, but they differ in their politics.  Those who are offended by parts of American culture simply ignore those parts.  Those who are disturbed by too much government and a shrinking economy are speaking out against it.

Muslims are a different story.  The War on Terrorism has lasted for decades and the fact that the terrorists are Muslim creates a barrier.  We have noticed that wherever they settle, they do not assimilate.  Most want Sharia law that is incompatible with US law.  They act like an invading army, eager to take over.

I am suspicious that the UN Agenda 21 supporters are using the Muslim immigrants and refugees to destroy sovereign countries to make way for the “new world order”.  I believe these left wing supporters are well infiltrated inside our government.

I know that not all Muslims are inclined to disrupt our existence, but we can’t tell the difference.  Too many terrorists are second generation American citizens. The refugee program, our welfare program and open borders looks like a formula for sovereign suicide.  So far, with Muslims, it looks like assimilation will fail.

The same is true of Mexican Drug gangs, criminals and other groups who hate America and favor its overthrow or have come here in search of victims.
