In 2019, adoptions in the US
totaled 120,869 vs 620,327 abortions in 2020.
117000 children were waiting
to be adopted and 58,000 were adopted in 2020.
407,000 children were in Foster Care in 2020.
By admitting that the Supreme Court State had no standing to rule on abortion cases, this overturned Roe v Wade and tossing it to State Legislatures.
In the 1900s and before,
Orphanages were established to care for infants who were abandoned by their
mothers.
The most famous Orphanage was Father Flannigan’s Boy’s Town in Nebraska. It has a website and reports a population of 414 boys. No other orphanages can be found on google.
Foster Care has replaced the orphanages. Kids who are not adopted often get passed between many foster and group homes until they age out at age 18-21. Kids with disabilities, including learning disabilities, are twice as likely to age out of the system. Once they have aged out, many of these young vulnerable adults face life alone.Oct 29, 2020 Foster Care is a poor replacement for Orphanages because they shuffle children around and the children don’t even have the friends they made in Orphanages. States in the US also their Mental Hospitals and School & Hospital Homes for the Severely Retarded. They now live on the streets along with the drug addicts.
The US needs to re-open Orphanages as an option to abortion and re-open Mental Hospitals for the criminally insane. Churches need to open Addiction Treatment Centers, because the most effective treatment is God centered.
I suspect that States will
pass Anti-Abortion Laws with limits and allow abortion to be legal if it
endangers the health of the mother and in the cases of rape and incest. Some
will allow abortions before 6 weeks. The heartbeat begins at 22 days. A fetus
feels pain after 24 weeks. Most believe that life does begin at conception,
but pro-abortion forces will protest every version of State Anti-Abortion Bills. It would be wise for States to reopen Orphanages and Mental Hospitals before they draft their Anti-Abortion Bills. The Parent(s) giving up an orphan should decide on the orphanage or foster care options. Women who have illegal abortions should have their tubes tied, but should not go to jail. Women who decide on abortion should travel to wherever abortion is legal.
When Roe v Wade passed, people asked me how I felt. I mentioned that killing children would be more appropriate if they were really bad teenagers. I ended up believing that it would be better to banish bad teenagers and rehab these lost sheep later. The name I gave to abortion was “agnosticide” because agnostics didn’t believe that human life belonged to God and found nothing wrong with killing their infants. I did think that a nation founded on life, liberty and private property should not legalize killing babies.
