In November 2024, the federal government employed just over 3 million people, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). This figure includes the more than 600,000 people who work for the U.S. Postal Service.
If the average cost per employee is $100 000 per year, the cost is $30 billion per year or $3 trillion for 10 years.
The goal is to reduce US Federal Spending by $2 trillion per year.
Federal Grants and Foreign Aid should be the targets to reduce federal spending by $1.5 trillion. Law enforcement agencies are currently duplicated in terror attacks and mass shootings and is the “poster child” for government duplication. This needs to be fixed. Government data is always late and wrong.
Shared data bases can solve this problem and enable the US government to identify “Actual Citizens” to ensure legal voting and Congressional Districts. If the federal government can reduce spending from $6.5 trillion per year to $5 trillion per year in 2025, Oil and natural gas exports will make up the difference in 2026.
If
Congress stopped authorizing 10-year budget authorizations, we could avoid
funding problem fixes that were no longer necessary. If the OMB could stop
using budget figures and start using actual revenue, we could end the “Pay For”
scam.
If the FED could stop using the CPI and include all price increases, it would have be able to reduce mistakes in their forecasts. If the FED could use the market averages for lending and base the model on Free Market economics and slow the money printing to their Banker Buddies, we could avoid inflation.
If Income Taxes can be reduced by increasing the Annual IRS Income Tax Exemption by 20%, US citizens will be able to regain some ground on the cumulative inflation that was imposed from 2021 to 2024.
As of 2-6-25, 40,000 federal employees had signed up to quit and be eligible for the 8-month severance package offered to 200,000 federal employees. As of 2-12-25, 65,000 federal employees have signed up to be included in the “severance package”.
The EO requirement for federal employees to return to their offices is being handled by each Agency. The deadline is being extended and 65,000 federal employees are expected to opt for the 8-month severance package.
Agencies that are planned for closure include: Education with 4400 employees. USAID with 10,000 employees is transferred to the State Department and expected to shrink to under 300 employees. Other Agencies being considered for closing includes Consumer Protection Bureau with 1.677 employees. The average government salary is $100,000 per year. Projected Headcount Savings is currently $6 billion per year.
It costs the US government an average of $8,000 per year to feed, house and give medical attention to illegals. If 16 million illegals are removed, savings will total $129.776 billion per year. If illegals are admitted to the social security system, it will collapse.

When we visited Washington DC in 1995, we went looking for the Department of Redundancy Departments and they were everywhere. The cost of updating and automating government data bases will need to be factored in to the cost. It will take time to increase oil and natural gas production and build factories in the US to add manufacturing jobs. In the meantime, tax reduction will need to be used to keep lower paid US citizens’ households afloat.
