Creator God 5-22-25

The Bible chronicles the creation as described in Genesis in the Old Testament. Jesus says that Moses wrote it, but that probably includes some scribes under his employ. John 5:46 : If you had believed Moses, you would believe Me, because he wrote about Me.

According to traditional reckoning, Moses was born in 1393 BCE and died in 1273 BCE. This places his birth and death around February 26, 1393 BCE and February 26, 1273 BCE, respectively. Moses lived for 120 years.

Abraham lived around 2000BC and is considered the Father of Faith for Jews, Christians and Muslims. He was the first Human to communicate with God since Adam and Eve.

Abraham, a central figure in the Bible, is renowned for his unwavering faith and obedience to God. His story is marked by divine promises, a covenant with God, and a life of both triumph and hardship. He is considered the father of the Israelites, and his legacy is deeply ingrained in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.

Here are 10 interesting facts about Abraham in the Bible:

1. Divine Call and Covenant: God called Abram (Abraham's original name) from his homeland, Ur of the Chaldeans, promising him a great nation and a land of his own.

2. Change of Name: God changed Abram's name to Abraham, meaning "father of many," and Sarah's name to Sarah, meaning "princess".

3. Promised Seed: God promised Abraham a son through his wife Sarah, despite her advanced age, and they eventually had Isaac.

4. Circumcision as a Covenant Sign: God established circumcision as a covenant sign between Him and Abraham and his descendants.

5. Sacrifice of Isaac: God tested Abraham's faith by asking him to sacrifice Isaac, but Abraham's willingness to obey was interrupted by God's intervention, saving Isaac's life.

6. Hagar and Ishmael: Abraham had a son, Ishmael, with Hagar, Sarah's Egyptian maidservant, before Isaac was born.

7. Intervention for Sodom and Gomorrah: Abraham pleaded with God to spare Sodom and Gomorrah if ten righteous people could be found within them.

8. Hospitality: Abraham was known for his hospitality, welcoming three visitors who turned out to be angels.

9. Warrior and Savior: Abraham was a brave warrior, rescuing Lot and his family from raiders.

10. Prophetic Glimpse: Jesus said that Abraham rejoiced to see His day and was glad.

The Bible offers a chronicle of events that support that we have been created by a “Creator God”.

To determine that for ourselves, we are required to observe and reflect. We will then have a “theory”. My theory is that God has a Plan for each of us.

The discovery of DNA confirms that we each are unique. We each have talents, interests and motivations that give us clues to guide our plans. If our plans include doing what we are good at and enjoy doing, we are paying attention to “God’s Plan” and are likely to be happy and feel grateful.

In my experience, I can identify “God’s Hand” in opening doors to enable me to meet my “soulmate”, develop and implement my career plan and lead a “charmed life”.  My favorite part of Christmas was singing harmony with my uncles was taught to play the piano by ear. I taught myself to play the bugle and became the Boy Scout Troop bugler. I got a trumpet and joined the grade school band. I was 1st trumpet in the Boy Scout Band.  I won a trumpet scholarship to the family High School. I taught myself to play guitar when I was 10 years old.

My first career began when I was 14 years old and I formed a Rock Band in 1957. We played 3 nights per week through high school from 1957 to 1961. I bought my mom’s car for $100 and paid all of my expenses.

My band members were leaving to attend college. I was sitting at my desk and prayed: “Lord, I don’t want to start another Rock Band, I just want to join a Dirty Two Horn Blues Band. Just then the phone rang and it was a Drummer who wanted me to join his Dirty Two Horn Blues Band. I looked up and said “Thank You”. My prayer was answered immediately.

The Blues Band was first rate. I played Bass Guitar We worked 2 nights a week at Little Milton’s club and 2 nights a week at teen towns just south of St. Louis County. I met the Drummer’s sisters and they said: “You’ve got to meet Marlene”. I met Marlene and asked her to be my date for my high school reunion. I was in a great mood and sang “You are Beautiful” from Flower Drum Song as we drove to the reunion. The lyrics end with “you are the girl I will love some day”.  I found out later that Marlene was a big Rogers and Hammerstein fan.

We decided to clear our calendars to find time for each other. We spent time as a couple visiting with family beginning in January 1962. My Blues Band became the “house group” at the Livingroom on Gaslight Square and worked 6 nights a week in 1962. Marlene and I were engaged in December 1963. We married in August 1964. I was able to pay 100% of my college tuition and my income matched the US average household income.

I graduated college in January 1965. I was allowed to take Graduate Seminars in my last semester.

We were expecting our first child in June 1965. I began my first “day job” at United Way in January 1965. I continued work as a musician in Jazz and Blues groups.

We bought our first home in 1966. Marlene had retired from Dental Assisting to become a stay-at-home mom. I continued working as a musician until 1975. We had 6 children to save the Social Security System.

My Corporate career was unusual. I joined companies to learn their industries and complete a set of predetermined accomplishments. My chosen field was Personnel.

My first Personnel Job was with Kearney National in January 1967. I learned the basics and convinced them to close the plant and move it to Atlanta GA. I joined Monsanto HQ in 1968 to learn Union-Free strategies and Compensation on their Textile Division Staff. I joined Washington U Medical School in 1971 to keep unions out and automate their administrative functions to assure regulatory compliance. I moved to the main campus in 1972.

In 1971, I joined the best Jazz Trio in St. Louis. I played bass guitar and sang. We worked weekends. In 1973 we added 2 girl singers and became a 5-part vocal group.  Our fans included the TV and Radio Station staffs and the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra.  We were recorded live and I still play the CDs.

I joined Schwan Foods in 1975 to help automate the Tony’s Pizza plant in Salina Kansas and develop a solution for employee development.  I joined Rickle Manufacturing in 1979 to decertify the UAW.

I joined Hayes Microcomputer Products in 1983 In Atlanta GA to join the electronics boom and move closer to colleges. I joined Electromagnetic Sciences Inc in 1986 to support the Reagan Defense Buildup. Marlene graduated from Dental Hygiene School in 1986. Also in 1986, I graduated from WBSI as a Fellow in Strategic Studies.

In 1993, I was kidnapped by 6 electronics companies to become their Consultant. I ran my own Consulting Practice as a Sole Proprietor for 24 years from 1993 to 2017. Marlene worked as a Dental Hygienist for 31 years from 1986 to 2017. We retired at age 74.

My Corporate Personnel career was project oriented. I served as an Internal Consultant and Department Head.

I have concluded that God’s Plan for me included all of the above, because it was too easy and too much fun.
