Propaganda Driven Change 6-25-25

In the 1870s, the problem was what to do with the Yellowstone land in Wyoming. It was a welcome distraction from paying off the Civil War Debt. The Federal Government took the bait and violated the Constitution by ignoring the “limited powers” outlined in the Constitution that limited land use powers to government offices and military bases.

Newspaper propaganda turned Yellowstone into a “must see” destination.

In the 1880s, further violations to property rights shifted to “monopolies” driven by trashing the Founders of US Industries and “wealth envy”. The consolidation of railroads under JP Morgan to enable them to repay their foreign construction loans resulted in the break-up of the railroads. Again, newspaper propaganda criticized the Industry Titans.

In the 1880s, Labor Unions attempted to form in US companies. Marxist Labor Strike violence raged on for decades as companies refused to acquiesce to agreeing to a Union Contract. Companies finally agreed and added the additional costs to their products.

In 1913, the creation of the Federal Reserve and Income Tax to set up the US for “planned inflation” and began US Military Foreign Aid for World War I and World War II.

The top bracket for US income tax from 1913 to 1918 varied as follows:

·       1913: The top tax bracket was 7 percent on income over $500,000. This was the first year the modern income tax system was established after the ratification of the 16th Amendment.

·       1914: This rate remained unchanged at 7 percent for income over $500,000.

·       1915: The top bracket remained at 7 percent for income over $500,000.

·       1916: To help finance World War I, the Revenue Act of 1916 increased the top rate to 15 percent on income above $2 million.

·       1917: The War Revenue Act of 1917 significantly raised the top rate to 67 percent. The income threshold for this rate was lowered to $2 million.

·       1918: The Revenue Act of 1918 further increased the top rate to 77 percent, applying to income above $1 million. This act codified existing tax laws and imposed a progressive income tax structure.

This resulted in the creation of “foundations” that later turned into Marxist Propaganda supporters.

In 1933, the expansion of US government spending resulted in greater dependence on government to provide retirement benefits through Social Security. This provided Congress with a slush fund to allow for higher spending and higher inflation.

In 1965, the US Federal Government created the beginnings of the welfare state and introduced retiree healthcare coverage under Medicare and low income healthcare under Medicaid.

Voters would not approve State and Local Tax Increases, so the Federal Government began to fund infrastructure for States. Congress viewed these subsidies as “bringing home the bacon” and subsidies increased.

Federal grants to states have a long history, evolving from land grants and land sale proceeds in the early 19th century to the more complex system of grants-in-aid we see today, particularly after the New Deal era. Initially, land grants were used to support education and other state functions, with little federal oversight. The New Deal significantly expanded federal involvement in state affairs, leading to a system of "cooperative federalism" where the federal and state governments shared responsibilities.

The US National Debt has increased from $5 trillion in 1990 to $36 trillion in 2025 due to Military Foreign aid, failed Nation Building in Iraq and Afghanistan and unnecessary subsidies for the Climate Change Hoax.

Now in 2025, we are attempting to reign in US Federal Spending and increase economic growth to avoid bankrupting the US.
