If the US pays 28% of the UN total budget, the US could save $1.4 billion if it defunded the UN. The UN has become the supporter of the anti-US Propaganda machine.
In 2025, the United Nations (UN) is funded through a combination of assessed and voluntary contributions from its member states. The regular budget, which supports core UN activities, is primarily funded by assessed contributions. Additionally, the UN peacekeeping operations have their own separate budget, also financed by assessed contributions, according to UN peacekeeping reports. Voluntary contributions, made at the discretion of member states, are crucial for the UN's humanitarian and development agencies.
Assessed Contributions:
Regular Budget: The regular budget, which covers a wide range of UN activities, is funded by assessed contributions from all member states. In 2025, the regular budget is set at $3.72 billion.
Peacekeeping Operations: The peacekeeping budget is also funded by assessed contributions, with the percentage shares determined by the General Assembly.
Scale of Assessments: The scale of assessments for both the regular budget and peacekeeping operations is determined by the General Assembly, based on factors like gross national income and capacity to pay.

Voluntary Contributions:
Humanitarian and Development: Many UN agencies, such as UNICEF, UNHCR, and WFP, rely heavily on voluntary contributions from member states.

Budget Challenges:
Unpaid Assessments: The UN has faced challenges with unpaid assessments, particularly for peacekeeping operations.
Budget Crisis: The UN has warned of a potential budget crisis, with some lifesaving programs facing the risk of collapse due to funding shortfalls.

The UN is responsible for the Global Warming Hoax embedded in UN Agenda 21 that was approved by UN Member Countries in 1989. It included banning fossil fuels to reduce CO2 and attempts to implement this resulted in $Trillions of unnecessary costs to member countries. It includes plans to establish a “World Government” under the UN. It’s time to defund the UN. Their programs do more harm than good, especially in Africa.
We need to remove the UN from the US and move it to Brussels.
