Europe double taxed gasoline decades ago and squandered the
money in uber-expensive public transit, solar, wind and welfare. They’re broke and now the terrorists they
invited to invade their countries are blowing up their trains and airports. This just happened again in Brussels,
Belgium.
In the US, voters have rejected most sales tax schemes to
expand low use public transit and have objected to paying for unaffordable
energy. We have also objected to
inviting terrorists to invade the US, but Obama disagrees.
The US is currently designed for low density, suburban
living that requires automobiles. We are
not about to spend tax dollars to create high density transit villages like
Europe or electrical power schemes that cost 5 times more than coal-fired
plants to produce each kilowatt of power.
We our roads and highways maintained without pot
holes. We want our roads and highways
expanded so that they function. We want
our clean water availability increased and we want the lead out of our drinking
water. We want our storm sewers
operating with no floods. We want our waste sewers operating with no leaks and
our waste water treatment systems well maintained. We want pipes replaced before they break.
We would like to stop paying tax dollars to build new
sports stadiums every 20 years. We want
the teams to pay for their own stadiums.
We recently killed an Atlanta Metro plan to “invest” $8
billion to double the size of MARTA to enable us to lose another $200 million a
year on operations and maintenance.
We want the federal government to stop its land and water
grabs and stop stealing and closing farms and ranches. We want all “federally controlled land” to be
given back to the States to return to its owners or sell it and put it back to
productive use in the private economy.
We want an end to UN Agenda 21 and a reversal of all job
killing environmental extremism. We want
the US to quit the UN and deport illegals and Muslims. We want the federal government to downsize
and pay off the National Debt.
Norb Leahy, Dunwoody GA Tea Party Leader
