George Soros is the
founder of the Open Society which has given over $7 billion to a multitude of
who’s who of the Left.
The group started in
1993 and is used as a conduit to spread Soros’s wealth to progressive causes.
According to the website, the expenditures to date include hefty sums to groups
like ACORN, Apollo Alliance, Tides Foundation, Huffington Post, Southern Poverty
Law Center, People for the American Way and Planned Parenthood. This is just a
small list of the recipients, but the list tells a lot about where Soros
chooses to send his money.
The Open Society is much
bigger than most may think. With branches in 37 countries, it may be one of the
largest philanthropic organizations ever built. Soros has an estimated worth of
over $25 billion and one day that money will largely be slated into the One
Society Foundation making it even more dangerous. One of the biggest issues
with the Open Society Foundation is its lack of communication with the outside
world. You can find multiple articles about the problems of the world and
how the group feels about multiple leftist issues, but you will not find press
releases, new grants or the reports on the foundations own doings. The Open
Society Foundation has long been known as existing in a creative chaos.
The Open Society
Foundation has been at the core of many controversial left-wing extremist
issues. In 2012, they were financially linked to funding a voter identification
controversy. George Soros’s philanthropy in the Arab-Israeli conflict even
increased the tensions in a troubled region. The foundation has continually
pushed the boundaries of philanthropy and tyranny. With billions of dollars to
throw at their own extreme causes and controversial funding sources, it comes
as no surprise that the Open Society Foundation is cause for concern.
