US Population GDP by State 2019


6 States lost population in 2019 including California, New York, Illinois, New Jersey, Alaska and Wyoming.

17 States gained population in 2019 including Texas, Florida, Georgia, N Carolina, Virginia, Washington, Arizona, Colorado, S. Carolina, Nevada, New Mexico, Montana, Delaware, S. Dakota, N. Dakota, DC and Vermont.

27 States had no appreciable change in population in 2019.

The US gained 2 million in population in 2019 and this early data puts US GDP at $22.4 trillion.

States with higher populations generally have higher State GDP. California, New York, Texas and Florida lead the US with over $1 trillion GDP each.
