US Government Reforms Needed 4-4-24

We want to return the US to become more livable. We need to find permanent solutions to end inflation and lawlessness. Our current federal spending levels at $6 trillion a year are unsustainable. We are funding our own demise. Biden is promising tax increases and a $7.2 trillion budget for 2025. We need to return to federal spending levels at $4 trillion. Federal revenue in 2023 from Social Security Taxes was $1.222 trillion.

Money Supply M2 in the United States averaged 5203.66 USD Billion from 1959 until 2024, reaching an all time high of 21703.50 USD Billion in July of 2022 from a record low of 286.60 USD Billion in January of 1959. source: Federal Reserve. Inflation after 2021 was caused by quadrupling the money supply in 2022 to pay for the Climate Change Hoax.

The US needs to exit the US climate accords, cancel the EV subsidies and build more natural gas fueled power plants to rebuild the US electric power grid. We also need to end sending toxic waste over our weakened railroad tracks.

The $1.1 trillion we spend on foreign aid and the $1.1 trillion we spend on federal grants should be ended.  Diplomacy by Bribery doesn’t work. Federal spending needs to drop back to $4 trillion in 2025 to come closer to total receipts.

I believe we can reduce another 1 trillion in federal spending to reduce it back to $3 trillion per year. This would give us a chance to begin reducing the National Debt.

The Federal Reserve appears to work for the banks, not the voters. The current discount rate is 5.5%.

Money printing should be reduced to bring down US inflation. Banks need to approve loans based on their merit and take the hit when these loans fail. Setting the discount rate at 2% is a good start.

The current 30 year fixed mortgage rate is 7.42%. The average price of a single family home in the US is $387,600. The average downpayment due at closing is $51,250 plus fees. Our downpayment is now 13%.

The plan administrator may allow you to borrow against your savings to pay down payment for the house. Most 401(k) plans allow participants to borrow up to 50% of their 401(k) vested balance. For example, if you have an $80,000 vested balance in your 401(k), you could borrow up to $40,000. Renters need to stop wasting their money on rent.

The US congress would do well to reduce the size and scope of the federal government and exit the home loan and student loan markets to allow banks to handle these. We might be able to get mortgage rates back to 4%.

We need to stop government subsidies, aid and grants on everything. States need to fund their own transportation needs and manage their own “national parks” and forests.  The US Federal Government needs a “balanced budget amendment”, so that future revenue can be applied to lowering the National Debt.

We need to drill enough oil and natural gas to match US production with US consumption. We are producing 13 million bbd and need to increase oil production by 7 million bbd to match US demand. We need to sell excess US oil and natural gas to Europe. We need to replace war with total economic isolation for bad actors like Russia, China, N Korea, Iran, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine and Yemen.

Iran-backed Al Quida controls the lower coastline of Yemen and is responsible for attacking ships and blocking trade through the Suez Canal.  European and Arab countries need to end this blockade and remove Al Quida from Yemen.

Europeans are responsible for military aid to Ukraine to end Russian aggression.

Taiwan is threatened by China and the US is tied up with the Suez Canal, Ukraine, Climate Change and a Marxist take-over. Taiwan needs to move its electronics development and production out of Taiwan. Hong Kong fell after Briton signed the take-over agreement. All US manufacturing needs to move out of China and Tariffs on Chinese imports to the US need to be doubled. Tariffs need to be imposed on Chinese EVs scheduled to be manufactured in Mexico.

We need to ban ownership of US land to foreign bad actors like China. We need to find a US buyer to repurchase the land that was sold to the Chinese Government. We need to ban ownership of US land by any foreign government.

We would like to return to law and order and the ability to isolate violent criminals and deprogram their criminal tendencies. We also need to figure out what to do with violent criminals who cannot be deprogrammed. We may need to return to operating penal colonies. We may need to increase the use of death penalties for the criminally insane. We need to end the immigration of illegal immigrant criminals and gangs.

We certainly need to complete the Border Wall and deport all illegal immigrants who have been arriving since 2021. We may need to determine what to do with the 11 million illegal immigrants who settled in the US prior to 2021. Those who are living productive lives should apply for legal status that includes employer sponsored and customer sponsored work visas leading to green-cards and eventual citizenship. Their children need to follow the same path.

All US immigration needs to be based on Merit and unfilled job openings. Only those with occupations needed should apply.  The US should repeal all Asylum laws. Asylum-seekers should apply for asylum to neighboring countries with similar cultures who allow it.  US taxpayers are not responsible for citizens of other countries.

Sanctuary Cities, Counties and States should repeal their sanctuary laws. We do not need more laborers who don’t speak English. Catholic Charities should get out of the sanctuary city business, buy back their hospitals and add drug treatment centers. God’s help is required to end drug addiction.

The US departments of Education, Labor, Energy, Housing and Environmental Protection should be defunded and responsibilities sent to the States. Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid should be rebalanced to move outlays closer to tax receipts.

State Governments and School Districts should replace Municipal Bolds with accrual accounts to keep from spending double on new school buildings. More should be budgeted for maintenance of existing schools to make them last 100 years.

State colleges should freeze tuition and fee prices and stop spending $billions on new “amenities”. They should drop classes on non-occupational degrees, end tenure and lay off unnecessary faculty and staff.

High School teachers should be required to hold BS degrees in the courses they teach. Math teachers should have a BS in Math. Today the High School curriculum is “dumbed down” to accommodate the teachers who only have a BS in Education.

Rents and Home Prices will eventually equalize and rebalance. Supply and Demand will lower the prices. Hand-wringing over “affordable housing” does nothing. We are reliving the “Waltons” when multi-generational families lived together.
