US Affordability 8-21-24

US Affordable Housing can only be achieved by increasing the supply of single-family homes in the $200,000 range. These would be homes in subdivisions in the exurbs. The suburbs are usually in counties next to large cities. The exurbs are in the next layer of counties. This requires lower gasoline prices to allow young families to continue to commute to work in the suburbs and cities.

US Affordable Gasoline Prices require increasing US Oil Production to 20.246 million barrels per day. This will result in gasoline prices at $2.00 per gallon.  US Oil Production reached 12.9 million barrels per day in 2023. We need to increase US oil production by 7.346 million barrels per day.

US Affordable Natural Gas Production needs to increase to provide nitrogen for crops and natural gas for more US Power Plants to produce reliable electricity. The US electric grid has been weakened by the addition of unreliable wind and solar.

US Affordable Property Taxes requires that County Public School Districts stop funding new schools with Bonds that double the price of these schools and extend the working life of current schools from 40 years to 100 years with effective maintenance programs.

US Affordable College Costs requires tighter budgets for State Colleges and the removal of non-occupational degrees and other unnecessary expenses. Georgia Tech costs for 2023–2024 are reasonable. In-state tuition and fees were $11,764, and out-of-state tuition and fees were $32,876. Room and board was $15,244.

If Republicans are elected in 2024, the US can reduce consumer prices of gasoline and food and grow our way out of this declining economy by exporting oil and natural gas and cut federal spending back to $4 trillion/yr. We will also need to increase manufacturing, mining and forestry to support our private sector economy.
