Gasoline prices dropped in 2019 and 2020 as the US increased its domestic oil production to become energy independent. Gasoline prices increased in 2021 as the US lowered its domestic oil production to pursue wind and solar in compliance with the UN and EU demand to reduce carbon. The US ignored this in 2018 and began expanding US Natural Gas. Biden shut this down in 2021 and oil prices began to rise.
In 2019 and 2020, gasoline prices were $2.00 to $3.00.
In 2021, 2022 and 2023 gasoline prices were $3.00 to $4.93.
