I’m no fan of Chris Christie. I appreciate the
fact that he says what is on his mind, but I don’t think that there’s anything
on his mind except being a flunkie for John McCain’s policies. So, I’ll say it
here: Chris Christie is a tool for big government.
Why do I say that? Well, it doesn’t seem that
there is a big government policy that he doesn’t like (how very Republican of
him, right?), especially programs that invade the privacy of everyday
Americans. Christie calls for more domestic spying and is completely
unapologetic about violating the 4th Amendment in collecting that information.
The thing is, he can use emotionally charged
speeches to “justify” the spying that he advocates, but this is the same kind
of unthinking emotionalism that put Obama in office and has people rioting over
the death of someone who attacked a police officer. Emotion without reason is
