HUD’s War on Property Values

The HUD’s plan to force local zoning ordinances to allow HUD Section 8 subsidized apartments into the suburbs disrupts government schools, imports crime and lowers homeowners’ property values.  Part of moving to the suburbs includes good schools and safe neighborhoods.  HUD will herd minority populations to the suburbs to lower property values.

We’ve seen government schools damaged by bussing and other federal education schemes and the only thing propping up student performance at these schools are individual parents and teachers who hold the student responsible. They do this through voluntary daily communication using notes, color codes and face to face communications.

Excessive immigration of refugees, illegals and legal immigrants play havoc with schools when students don’t speak English. Foreign students are just dumped into classrooms, but should be learning English before they are sent to regular public schools. Many of these students are in poor families who receive government subsidies.

Other minorities stuck on the HUD plantation have very high unemployment, lots of drug dealing and are not assimilating. Their parents are not inclined to make their students perform or behave. Drugs and crime flourish and infect the rest of the students in these schools.

Homeowners in infected areas experience drops in their property values. Congress needs to act and stop this HUD  program.
