Pope Francis Controversial Issues

Why do we think the Pope is talking to the US when he mentions environmental degradation?  He says he wants a “discussion” about man-made climate change, but he isn’t specifically endorsing the carbon credit scam at this point.

The Pope set out the family as the primary building block of all societies.  Families need to be self-supporting and governments need to provide the conditions necessary for families to be able to support themselves.

His emphasis on the traditional family suggests that our individual assistance to the poor and disabled be focused first on our family members. We support the end of the death tax for similar reasons.

When I look at the UN member countries, I see that the less developed countries have most of the problems with poverty and pollution. The poor who live in these countries typically lack property rights and the freedom to support themselves. They lack sanitation, clean water and food, because they are rendered incapable and their governments are derelict.

The Pope is suggesting that governments are responsible for creating the conditions under which their citizens are allowed to live.

On Problem Solving, the Pope suggests that we implement obvious solutions to obvious problems.  For poor countries, this would be sanitation, clean water, reservoirs, irrigation, privatizing the economy and balanced government budgets.  He says that making lists of problems, strategies and disagreements are not enough. These solutions need to be effective and balanced.

There is ample evidence that global warming and man-made climate change is a hoax perpetrated by the UN to promote a one-world government.  There is little evidence that carbon emissions are a problem that merits our attention.

On Sovereign Debt Interest, the Pope suggested that higher interest charged to the least credit-worthy countries should be reconsidered.

The other topics the Pope touched in his UN address included:  Monopoly Powers, Culture of Waste, Agenda 2030, International Organized Crime, Restoring rights to the poor to be self-sufficient and self-supporting.  Rights of families to educate their children.  Lodging Labor and Land.  Religious freedom and all other civil rights.  Right to life and the right to human nature requires recognition of rights for all.   Lots of chances to fail.  Avoid war.  Nuclear weapons are too destructive to use.  The Middle East and Africa are being destroyed.  Protection of the innocent should be a priority.  Drug wars and criminal behavior and corruption in governments.

What the Pope didn’t say was that the primary hosts for Muslim refugees should be other Muslim countries.
