The Wile Coyote Party

The Republican Establishment Party has become Wile Coyote Party. This is one of my favorite cartoon characters.  Every time Wile tries to destroy the Road Runner, he ends up destroying himself. The voters are the Road Runner and they have no use for Wile.

So, how do so many RINO Republican candidates get elected by the voters ?  The Establishment protects its own. When challengers arise, the entire Establishment attacks them, so their Establishment candidates often win. Even non-Establishment candidates promise to make Wile change his ways. But it doesn’t take long for many of them to start voting like Wile. So, how does this happen ?  Either they lied to get elected or they are somehow “converted” into RINOs.

The arcane rules and customs of the House and Senate are part of this conversion process. They are joining an impenetrable bureaucracy with its own language, pace, punishments and rewards using “bait and switch” and “bums rush” tactics.  Most try to learn to “play the game” and comply with the “politically correct” path.  In the end, they either become Wile or they quit. The “culture” of the legislature makes its members “insular”. It’s called “drinking the Kool Aid”. The game is rigged and it operates like a cult.

This happens in the US Congress, the State Legislatures, the County Commissions and the City Councils across America.  The folks we elect to these legislatures become the captives of “group think” and they fail to serve the “will of the people”.

The major cause of this chaos is lawless, unconstitutional government activities. The federal government started ignoring the US Constitution over 150 years ago. Instead of proposing Amendments for the States to approve, the US Congress simply passed laws they had no authority to pass. This pulls the State and local legislatures in to do the same and Liberal judges fail to object.

The end result is government, of the government, by the government and for the government vs the people. Campaign finance needs to change to remove special interests from the process.  Laws can be passed in the States to restrict all but registered voters from making campaign contributions to candidates who would appear on their ballots.  Special interests can express their political voice directly on their own websites.

The Establishment is stuck in the past. We don’t need all the expensive structures our government put in place to prevent another Hitler. We just need to keep the next Hitler from getting the bank funding he will need to build a military force. The Council on Foreign Relations has turned into a globalist cult tied to the corrupt UN that is actually the worst global threat we face today. We do need to obliterate Muslim terrorists rather than inviting them to live here.
