It’s high
time that those who wrecked the country be held accountable. This may begin with investigations and the
speed with which reforms are enacted.
The best
way to identify the guilty is to identify the laws that cause the most trouble
and track back to see who sponsored the original Bills. In some cases this is
easy. Senator Ted Kennedy is the sponsor
of the 1965 Immigration Bill that opened the gates to immigrants we didn’t
need. Lyndon Johnson crafted the welfare plans that destroyed Black families in
1964. That should get us looking at what other things these two did and who
helped them. You begin to get a picture of who the culprits are.
The hardest
Bills to track are the many destructive Bills that wouldn’t pass on their own,
so they were sled into Omnibus Spending Bills as Amendments, even though they
had nothing to do with the Budget Bill itself. These unrelated Bills should not
be allowed to be slid in as Amendments, or combined with other unrelated Bills
to set up a trade to pass multiple bad Bills.
