EU Economy 7-6-25

The Trade Deal between the US and the EU is critical to the EU and Trump hold all the cards. Trump will lead them closer to a deal that will benefit the citizen-voters in EU member countries. The EU is moving politically from Left to Right.

The estimated population of the European Union in 2025 is around 448 million people. In 2025, the total population of European countries that are not part of the European Union is estimated to be around 293 million. This includes countries like Russia, the UK, and Switzerland, among others.

The average nominal GDP for EU member countries in 2025 is projected to be $19.99 trillion USD according to the International Monetary Fund (IMF). This figure represents the total value of goods and services produced by the EU member states at current market prices.

The EU's economy is the second largest in the world in nominal terms, after the United States. The forecast for 2025 indicates a continuation of moderate economic growth, though with some slowing momentum. The forecast for the euro area is similar, with real GDP growth projected at 0.9% in 2025, according to the European Central Bank

Several factors influence this economic outlook, including global economic uncertainty, trade tensions, and geopolitical risks. However, investments in defense and infrastructure, as well as rising household incomes, are expected to provide some support for growth in the medium term.

The US nominal GDP estimate is $30 trillion in 2025. The EU nominal GDP estimate is $20 trillion.

The US nominal per capita GDP estimate is $89,105 in 2025.  The EU nominal per capita GDP is $44,220 in 2025.

The EU needs to expand its “Private Sector GDP” and lower government spending and taxes to raise its per capita GDP. Getting good Trade Deals with the US and eliminating unnecessary spending are critical.

Russia is considered to be a “European Country” historically and culturally. Russia’s current war of expansion with Ukraine is a problem for NATO, the EU and all European Countries. NATO is raising its membership fee from 2% of GDP to 5% of GDP. Trump is pushing for an end to this war in Ukraine.

Russia’s Unemployment is 2.2% and their per capita Income is $14.260. Russia is enjoying a “War Economy”. Russia is isolated economically, but can sell its oil, natural gas and other goods to China.

The long list of “European Countries” includes countries beyond the EU.
