Software Developers follow the same “design cycles” followed by all Engineers, who have referred to themselves as “highly paid migrant workers”. Start-up companies are most susceptible to tight design cycles. Reducing time-to-market has cause premature releases of flawed products. Companies attempting to design products using the latest technology need to raise enough investment cash to retain their Engineers to complete implementation.
The current problem is due to companies’ choosing expansion into AI and then reversing their decisions. The other problem contributing to this was the increase in demand and decrease in the supply of advanced computer chips. These companies also relied on “Work-From-Home” contractors and those jobs continue to decline. The new Software Engineering jobs will require Work-In-Office teams and relocation to these offices.
The plan for establishing “AI Data Centers” has been developed, but it will take some time for these “Centers” to be built.
