Russia can survive by selling oil, natural gas and coal to China, but it also needs to end its invasion of Ukraine. Long term, Russia needs to end the War with Ukraine, concentrate on developing raw materials in Siberia and pursue trade relations with the EU, avoid facing a larger NATO and raise Russia’s per capita Nominal GDP.
